Air conditioner worked great! Everything was perfect!

This hotel is a true gem! It’s a ryokan style, so it’s a bit like a hostel; but with individual rooms. It’s classic Japanese style so it feels significantly more authentic than a typical hotel. There isn’t a private bathroom in your room, but a shared one on each floor (only 5 or fewer rooms per floor.) They also have a private (but not in your room) shower, and a communal ofuro (bath tub.) Free sodas, coffee, and hard alcohol in the common area, also when we were there they had a free claw machine where you could win snacks and candy (limit 3 per person.) We used this hotel as a launch pad for hiking Mt. Fuji and they held our luggage until we got down from our hike the next day. $10 taxi from the Shin Fuji station, $25 taxi from the fujinomiya bus station.

Different from what you would see in the United States, but it was a great place for the price and the rooftop view of Fuji.

Air conditioning worked properly, the room was clean but some of the areas of the building could use a bit of restoration, nothing that affected the serviced though! I loved the free drinks available

There are three buildings. Pros: free drink bar, amazing rooftop view of Mt. Fuji, toiletries and Yukata attire provided. North and Central building looks renovated. There are 2 private shower room in 2nd floor of central building for those who does not want to go in public bath. There is elevator in central building. Cons: South building, Room 251 (Tatami Japanese Family room for 3 pax) Nov 22: CAD$250 (pricey) Nov 23: $140ish not sure why first day is much expensive for the same room. Showers are a little moldy. South building no elevators, smells and no ladies shower
