Things to do in Yu Garden

no need to line up, can go right in with qr code. beautiful song style gardens with nice greenery. better to go earlier to avoid the crowds. reserve enough time to explore the free bazaar outside too!

Our guide Maggie was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly kind, caring, and patient with us throughout the whole trip. She always adjusted the schedule to our needs, helped us with everything, waited for us whenever we needed extra time, translated for us, and even bargained for us when we were shopping. She answered all of our silly questions with so much patience and was always there whenever we needed help. She truly took care of us like a real mom! 🥹❤️ We felt so comfortable and well taken care of with her. We’re very grateful for everything she did for us!

Great experience with the Hanfu & cheongsam photoshoot! The costumes and hair‑makeup were beautifully done. The photographer was patient and professional, capturing wonderful shots for us. The location near Yuyuan Garden is super convenient. We really enjoyed our traditional Chinese‑style photo session and would highly recommend this service to other travelers

Wonderful experience on the Huangpu River Cruise (Qingjiang Line). The night view of Shanghai was absolutely stunning, especially the skyline of The Bund and Pudong lights. The cruise was relaxing, clean, and well-organized, with plenty of good spots for photos. Staff were accommodating, and the atmosphere was enjoyable from start to finish. A perfect activity for first-time visitors who want to experience the beauty of Shanghai at night.

The trip to Yu Garden and Zhujiajiao Water Town was one of the highlights of our visit to China. We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Lynn! . She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and well-organized throughout the entire day and was also a great photographer for us!

What an unexpected hidden gem of a shop! I am beyond satisfied with my photography experience. The makeup and styling were exceptionally meticulous; best of all, they weren't rigid and adjusted the look based on my facial features and requests. The hair accessories and clothing fabrics also had a wonderful texture. Haha, I'm terrible at posing, but the photographer was great at guiding my movements and finding fantastic shooting locations. The atmosphere in the photos is completely on point, and the final results exceeded my expectations!

Very happy and satisfied with the whole experience! The package included makeup, hairdo, dressing, and a professional photoshoot. The photographer moved around with us throughout the session, making it easy to capture beautiful moments. The package also included transportation to and from the shop after the photoshoot, which was very convenient. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely highly recommended! I will certainly recommend it to my friends. ❤️

it was a very nice experience, above my expectations. even if I don’t speak Chinese I could communicate with the makeup artist and he did an amazing job both on my makeup and hair (and curly hair are not simple to manage). the photographer was very professional, quick and easy to follow. he knew all the best spots in the yuyuyan garden, gave me all directions about poses and smiles and he didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. I spent 1 hour more in the garden taking pictures with my friends and when I went back to the office the photos were already ready and the 6 one I chose to be modified already modified. as for this last parts I honestly prefer the original shots and not these alternative version of my face and body ahahah but this is my opinion.

we had a wonderful time here! we got a little lost, but once we were there it was a magical experience. our host was lovely and I’m so glad we went! 🫶
