There were only 2 of us but tour went ahead as plan. Koh was our guide and she did a great job! She was able to converse both in Chinese and English well, and we have a 3rd language hokkien too! She was able to plan the itineary well and we covered everything nicely. We get to see Tori gate during high tide and low tide as well, it was majestic and beautiful. We also hike up Mt Misen, I was huffing and puffing but she waited patiently and was encouraging as well. She is so fit and did not even break a sweat! Thank you Koh for such a wonderful experience and we learnt lots about Hiroshima from you.

Miyajima Public Aquarium offers an elegant environment where you can get up close with penguins, enjoy spectacular sea lion shows, and see an oyster exhibit with local characteristics. It's very therapeutic!

Hiro, our tour guide was very sweet and informative! Our tour got upgraded to include lunch (Japanese pancake) for free due to logistical reasons. Hiro provided good information about the Atomic Dome, monuments in the area, and led at a good pace for adults with disabilities to keep up most of the time. Bring water as a token of remeberance. Bring tissues for the museum. Details are not spared. More time is needed on high traffic days. I was only able to get about half way through on a weekend before the time was up. The temple is MASSIVE (one floor, spread out over a wide area) and beautiful! We were there at low tide unfortunately so didn't get the iconic pictures of the tori gate. Lots of shopping in this area! I definately suggest the maple leaf snacks, I liked them all. I will need to come back and stay on the island at least 24hrs to see everything I wanted to see. Also... Deer! Not sure how I missed that, but they are there and friendly unless you have food they want.

Yassy who guided us on this English tour spoke very fluent English, friendly and approachable! She gave us alot of information and brought us to places that we on our own will never visit. She's very patient as well and did not rush us during the journey where we took breaks and chatted about Japanese culture, and she waited for us while we shop. after the trip, she even accompanied us to Genbaku Dome which we didn't know the most convenient way. Along the way, she gave us tips for our onwards journey and we also taught her some Aussie slang. highly recommended tour with Yassy.

A magnificent excursion from start to finish. Our guide, Isabella, was very dedicated, cheerful, joyful, and always attentive. The setting was exceptional; I absolutely recommend it.

Admire the Floating Torii Gate

When you visit Itsukushima Shrine, you can't miss the floating torii gate. This famous gate looks like it's floating on the water during high tide in the Seto Inland Sea, making it a perfect spot for taking pictures. At low tide, you can even walk right up to it. This special gate has been standing since the late Heian period and is the first thing you'll see as you head toward Miyajima Island.

Explore the Shrine Buildings

While you're there, you have to visit the other shrine buildings in the area. Take a walk through the main shrine, purification hall, and the West and East corridors, which show off the Japanese architectural style from the Heian period. As you explore these historic places, you'll feel connected to the past and the sacred traditions kept alive here.

Visit the Treasure Hall

Hike to Mount Misen

For breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea and Miyajima Island, try hiking to the top of Mount Misen. The trails offer beautiful scenery, and you might even see some wildlife like deer and monkeys. Once at the top, you'll enjoy amazing views that stretch across Hiroshima Prefecture.
