Wanli District

The best time to visit Wanli District is from October to April for cooler coastal walks and hot springs. Summer can be bright and photogenic, but it is hot, humid, and more exposed at Yehliu Geopark.

From Taipei, take buses toward Yehliu, Jinshan, or the North Coast, or book a guided day tour. Driving is the most flexible option for combining Wanli with Jinshan, Keelung, and other coastal stops.

Use buses, taxis, or private cars between Yehliu, seafood areas, hot spring hotels, and coastal viewpoints. Yehliu Geopark itself is explored on foot along marked paths.

Stay near Yehliu or the Wanli coast if you want sea views and early access to the geopark. Choose a Jinshan-Wanli hot spring hotel for spa facilities. Many travelers prefer staying in Taipei and visiting Wanli as a day trip because evening dining and transport options are broader in the city.
