We arrived almost an hour late due to unforeseen circumstances but they still waited for us and were so accommodating! The makeup artist Oda was absolutely phenomenal... I've never felt prettier in my life! I was in awe at the makeup, my face was perfectly accentuated. He took into account the fact that I did not wish to look like a ghost. I loved the whole experience so much I used the same makeup to take pictures at the Bund! The hair by Amy was perfect too, the jewelry and accessories complemented each other impeccably. I just got the Hanfu experience, the coat for ¥60 and used my own camera to take photos at YuYuan garden. This has been my absolute favourite experience in Shanghai so far!! I'd highly recommend going ~~

Great experience. I was able to keep the clothes for the day after the shoot. They were very understanding when I had to change the appointment time for personal reasons and let me try on several outfits before deciding.

Cici was an amazing host! She speaks really good english and apart from teaching how to cook the dumplings, also teaches a lot about China and Chinese culture. For vegan people there is also an option to make tofu dumplings.

The instructor patiently guided us through the history and cultural meaning behind incense, then helped us craft our own personalized incense tablets step by step. It was such a special hands-on experience — mixing the natural fragrances, shaping the incense, and finally holding a piece we made ourselves felt incredibly satisfying. The whole process was relaxing, meaningful, and perfect for friends traveling together. If you’re visiting and looking for something unique, cultural, and memorable, I highly recommend this experience. Strongly recommend — absolutely worth it!
