The Shilin Night Market is one of the well-organized and most popular night markets. It is separated into two major sections. One sector covers the streets surrounding the traditional Yangming Theatre and stretching to the Chicheng Temple on Danan Rd. The other sector is a centralized food court serving a wide variety of snacks that attract large crowds. At the Shilin Night Market, visitors can shop from store to store and have a large selection of clothes and accessories that they can bargain for reasonable prices. Also a lot of the foods from Shilin Night Market are famous for their local flavors and are only available at the Shilin Night Market. Visitors are able to enjoy a wide range of local food, including Sausage Wrapped in Glutinous Rice, Stir-fried Squids, Oyster Omelets, Shilin Super Size Sausages, Ribs Stewed in Chinese Herbal Medicine, Shanghai Bun, Qinwaxiadan, Scallion Pancakes, Paopao Ice, Huge Chicken Cutlet, and many more.

The place ambiance was nice and you can take a bunch of photos while waiting for your food or even after getting full. A bit pricey menu - the only downside. If you're planning to go, I would suggest that you go after lunch or before evening because Shilin Night Market is only a few blocks away. You shouldn't miss it for anything!

It was a fun tour. It's supposed to be a join-in tour but other travellers who booked it did not make it so it seemed like a private tour for me. I am the only participant so I had all the tour guide's attention and I have the freedom the choose or stay at the food stalls as long/short as I want. York is a great guide. We have the same pace in walking. He brought me to stalls which are usually flocked with tourist but when we were there, there were little to no lines. I enjoyed my Shilin Night Market. The perfect way to end my Taiwan trip!

Went to Miramar via a Free bus from The Shilin Night Market. Exchanging the tickets was hassle-free and the waiting line was short but if you want to try the transparent gondola, you have to wait a bit longer as they were limited. From the top, you can see Taipei 101 and the other shopping malls in the area.

The food was delicious and the ambiance is great. The location is very near Shilin Night Market.

It was a great experience! The place is huge. But it was nice to learn about the history and culture of Taiwan. Had to get the tickets at Shung Ye Museum which is a short walk the National Palace Museum. Both museum are easily accessible by public bus. And there's also a bus on the basement going to Shilin Night Market :)
