We stayed at Hotel Viminale for a week and had a mixed experience, ultimately landing at 3 stars. With so many hotel choices available, we explicitly chose this property because it is advertised elsewhere as a top-rated, number-one choice, thinking it would be a guaranteed safe bet. Unfortunately, it fell incredibly short of expectations, and I am perplexed as to how it holds such a high reputation. The arrival set the tone—the hotel is tucked away in the middle of a side street that isn't the most inviting, and our cab driver had to point it out because it's a very small, easily missed boutique property. The room itself was highly disappointing. I was traveling with a relative and expected proper separate beds, but instead, the "two twin beds" were just two twin mattresses placed right next to each other on a single, shared platform. The room was also quite small and very noisy; we were consistently awakened early by street traffic and garbage trucks. Housekeeping was mediocre and not particularly friendly. As for amenities, the bar was hit-or-miss. On a couple of occasions, the bartender didn't show up for the 4:30 PM opening, leaving guests waiting for 10–15 minutes. There is no on-site restaurant, and while they offer a complimentary breakfast, the options were very limited—no meat options, and it was especially challenging being dairy-free. The front desk staff was a mixed bag. The afternoon shift came across as unfriendly, though Larissa on the morning shift was awesome

Great little boutique hotel, located off a quiet side street. Service was brilliant. Within easy reach of all key sites on foot.

Very clean and modern, staff were very attentive and helpful with any requests. Breakfast is vegetarian with lots of nice options. Would stay here again if visiting Rome.

I could not be happier with our stay at Hotel Viminale. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff. Donatella helped us check in, offered us welcome drinks, and really made us feel at home. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of the monuments and there are a lot of great places to eat at nearby. I definitely appreciated that the hotel is located on a less busy street. The breakfast and coffee was so good and one of my favorite parts of the stay. The terrace areas were a perfect place to enjoy our meal and start our day. I would also like to thank another member of the staff who helped book taxis and found us tickets to the Vatican Museum which were almost impossible to find during this high season in Rome. I cannot recommend it enough. I would love to stay again!

We only stayed one night while travelling but clean comfortable and convenient are things that come to mind. The cutest balcony in Rome

Great location and excellent staff

We loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. We loved the location, close to what we were interested in seeing. We would definitely go back.
