When we arrived the man on reception checking people in wasn’t the most welcoming. He seemed stressed and told us to sit and wait, in a room full of people. No time frame was given or further guidance. We couldn’t leave our bags and come back we just had to wait. Maybe half an hour passed before he attended to us. This was the only hiccup. Everything else with the stay was good. Clean room, great location, good nights sleep. Would stop again.

The breakfast selection is good. The room size is ok. We had to request luggage rack as this "superior room" is relatively small, there's no place to sit our 2 luggage even on the floor. We were told that we booked a "classic room" but they gave us the superior one, with a balcany. Thus the room is small. Most of the time we would be out touring the historical sites in Rome, who needs a balcany looking at the back of the other building? I requested a different room, but was told there's no other room available except a suite on the 8th (top) floor but we need to pay additional 60 euros. Since we paid over $300 (with tax) for one night, we didn't want to spend a penny more. The design of the room is not well thought out, as we can hear the next room flush the toilet and shower water running. The open closet doesn't have drawers or storage space. This means that we cannot unpack our luggage. The bathroom is pretty large. The other positive point of this hotel is the location. The metro stop is across the street. Many cafes, shops nearby. Some intersting places are with walking distance, i.e. Palazzo Massimo Museum, Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. Not sure if all hotels in Rome are over 300 dollars a night, but this is not a first class hotel which we expected.

Penny pinching hotel manager turns the air conditioning off at 10.30pm so the room temperature climbs to 26 Degrees for the whole night ! The picture was taken at 2am but it got even hotter. We complained as did many other customers and we were promised it would remain on through the night but THEY LIED and turned it off every night ruining our holiday. The staff told us to open the window instead but there is a 6 lane junction outside so this was a ridiculous suggestion as the noise was horrendous. The property was advertised as having air conditioning not PART TIME air conditioning and turned off when you would need it. I am sure the manager went home to a lovely cool house and slept very well saving his pennies. Expedia did try and contact the hotel twice but they did not reply, what a surprise ! Expedia did give us a small refund but the holiday was ruined due to lack of sleep. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Nice and clean hotel. Staff were nice. My only complaint would be the heating system, at night it would get really hot in the room.
