Things to do in Houtong

Even with thoroughly terrible weather, my partner and I had a great time on this tour led by Vivian. We enjoyed all the locations, had plenty of time in each, and learned a bit about Taiwan’s, and the local area’s, history and culture. Highly recommend this tour - especially for cat people.

the shifen water fall is the best , i wish we could have just skipped the cats and spend more tome in shifen water falls but over all its good! the tour guide let me borrow the umbrella

If you want great photos & videos for social media, definitely choose KEVIN CHANG. He is very skilled at photography & videography and captured lot of of amazing photos & videos for us, He never tires of capturing amazing clicks and voluntarily took a lot of photos. I had so much fun during the trip. The tour guide, Cheney, was very helpful and accommodating, making sure we were all okay since it was raining during our tour. We were able to manage and make sure that we visited every spot and place included in the tour. Comfortable bus!

I booked Klook for a day tour in Taiwan’s famous tourist spots for my family. Our tour guide is Xiao-Hei and he was PERFECT!! He made sure that the tour experience was great even if there was rain. He took a lot of beautiful pictures and was very kind to us. He was very knowledgeable in every place we went to and even shared the history and facts for each place we went to. We had fun listening to Xiao-Hei because he knew everything about Taiwan and what are the best stores we can buy from. I want to thank Xiao-Hei for giving my family and I the best tour experience since we had first timers in the group. I was impressed by how he did the tour and will surely book klook again for our future travels. I will recommend this to my family and friends! Our Shifen sky lantern experience was unforgettable! We came with wishes written on our lantern and left with tons of happy memories (and a lot of photos 😄). The staff were super friendly, energetic, and patient—they made sure our lantern was ready, guided us through every step, and became our personal photographers for the moment. They didn’t just sell us a lantern; they helped create a beautiful memory that we’ll bring home from Taiwan. Thank you for making our Shifen visit extra special! 🎈✨

It was fun even if the weather was rainy. Jaron Lee or Jia-Ron Li was our guide and he was very passionate of his job. He spoke very well Japanese and English as he attended to all of us. He explained a lot about the place going to the area and we were advised to get a raincoat if we wanted additional protection from the rain, which were also available all around Jiufen. Jiufen was a lovely place, it was rainy but the vibes was there, we enjoyed the many shops, view, dinner and we safely headed back to Taipe Main Station/Raohe Night Market. Feichang Ganxie Jaron! He took good care of us and was very helpful of inquiries! God bless and take care! :)
