Things to do in Wakayama

Our tour guide, Mr. Tiger, was very organized and thoughtful. A day before the tour, he sent me a WhatsApp message with his contact number, photo, and the exact arrival time at the meeting place — which made it so much easier to find him on the day of the tour. Throughout the trip, Tiger shared interesting commentaries about each destination and gave practical tips, like where to eat and what local items to buy. He even went the extra mile by sending restaurant suggestions in Osaka via WhatsApp. All the places we visited on this tour were interesting and truly worth seeing! Time was managed efficiently, and everything went smoothly. I would love to join another tour with Tiger as our guide in the future!

5/5 Stars - A long but rewarding day hitting the best spots in Wakayama with excellent logistics. as energetic, funny, and very polite. Tiger our tour guide keeps the group on schedule without being rude. He speaks fluent Chinese and conversational English (and Japanese), acting as a vital bridge for international tourists. He help guests take the best photos, organizing lunch spots at the crowded seafood markets, and clearly explaining the history of the locations.

Extremely satisfied. Firstly, the price is amazing; getting a Wakayama pass in addition to the Kansai Wide Area Pass for the same price is a great deal. Secondly, the experience was excellent. I chose the Taiji Whale Museum (including admission and the dolphin feeding program) + the sightseeing boat from Kii-Katsuura Port to Taiji (catching the 08:30 departure, arriving in Taiji just in time for the first dolphin show, then watching the 10:30 whale show, followed by a paid dolphin interaction program, and catching the 11:30 return to Kii-Katsuura, the timing was perfect) + a free meal at Kii-Katsuura Port (a set meal, served quickly, sufficient, and tasty). Finally, there's a wide range of choices, with various dining and entertainment options available in Kii-Katsuura, Wakayama, Shirahama, and other locations. Highly recommended.

A bit of a hike but with awesome rewards. In the 3h i even managed to go up the pilgrimage route behind the temple where it was quiet and just magical - probably one of my favorites so definitely recommend!

We very much enjoyed our half day tour with Karl, who was very knowledgeable, energetic, friendly, flexible and generous with his time and knowledge. Highly recommend.
