Things to do in Penghu

Someone on our boat caught two small fish. We thought we wouldn't catch anything, but now we can even add them to our meal! Their sashimi from the small fish is incredibly delicious and sweet, and the rice noodles are also tasty; the captain cooked them perfectly. Plus, there's brown sugar cake for us to enjoy two pieces of when we leave. Watching the fireworks on the boat was beautiful, but it was a bit too quiet. It really needed some music.

The meeting time was 20 minutes before departure, scheduled for 7:40 AM, but we actually departed at 8:00 AM because we were waiting for a group of tourists. There was a guide on the boat who stayed with us, for example, we'd agree on a time to follow her for a tour, and the service was pretty good. However, on the return trip, there was no commentary about the islands we cruised past! We had 1.5 hours at Dongji Island and 3 hours at Qimei (including self-arranged lunch), which was plenty of time! It was great—the whole island-hopping day trip wasn't expensive, highly recommended! 👍

The instructors were professional and humorous, and safety measures were well in place. The water was crystal clear, and we saw so many tropical fish; the underwater scenery was truly stunning! We had an absolute blast with the water activities and it was completely worth the trip. **High Degree of Freedom on the Island** After renting a scooter, we could leisurely explore Qibei Island, enjoying the white sand beaches, fishing village charm, and seafood snacks at our own pace. The feeling of not being rushed was fantastic. Riding the scooter on the beach at sunset with the breeze was incredibly romantic! Overall, this itinerary offers excellent value for money, including ferry tickets, scooter rental, water activities, and the lighthouse tour. It covers all the main highlights in one go, so you don't have to run around organizing things yourself. The instructor provided thorough explanations, carefully observed the students during the water activities, and offered timely assistance. The photos taken were also excellent. It was a fantastic experience. You really must try water activities when you visit Penghu.

Visiting the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in the scorching July heat was like heaven. Besides the abundant marine life, there are also plenty of sofa chairs in the exhibition halls, allowing you to rest while watching the beautiful fish. Recently, the museum also launched a scavenger hunt activity where you can find creatures based on card hints and get a stamp to exchange for a souvenir. The 366-day birthday creature activity is also very interesting.

We were delighted to join the Deyu Yacht "Penghu Island Hopping Day Tour." Our Group B tour guide provided detailed introductions to Penghu's local customs and history, and proactively helped our group take photos. On the return trip, the terns, who seemed to be eagerly awaiting our arrival, offered a lively and interesting experience as we fed them small fish for an afternoon snack. We give a five-star recommendation to Deyu Yacht! The cabin and restrooms were clean and tidy, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The itinerary was well-planned and the timing was perfectly managed.

The scooter is an electric scooter, very small and cramped. You can ride it for about two loops, and there's still enough charge for one more loop. You don't need to stay too long; you can catch the return ferry around 1:00 PM. There are fewer attractions compared to Qimei.

This was such a unique experience! Loved it! I would highly recommend this as an activity to do one evening!

wonderful experience, not very crowded on the boat although really crowded at the jetty, watching fireworks at such a near distance is a new.
