Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (including Tateyama Kurobe transportation ticket) & Kamikochi 2-Day Tour

For those hesitant due to inconvenient transportation, this tour is highly recommended as it's incredibly convenient. The itinerary includes transportation from Nagoya to Kamikochi, one night's accommodation, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route ticket (Ogizawa-Tateyama), and return transportation from Tateyama to Nagoya. There's ample time allocated for hiking in Kamikochi; we chose an 8-kilometer hike and had plenty of time for lunch! Dinner is included with the overnight stay, and there's a large public hot spring bath to wash away the day's fatigue. On the second day, we also got to see the Snow Wall at the Snow Corridor, which was the highlight of Tateyama Kurobe! Our guide, Abu, was a man of few words, but everything he said was important and helpful advice. His service was excellent, and he drove very safely. Overall, the tour experience was fantastic.

I joined the tour from 21/6 to 22/6. My tour guide was 小晴 and driver was 荒川. It can get quite crowded and chaotic when going up Tateyama but thanks to 小晴, it was a organised one. She provided clear instructions on the time and place to meet. She also shared those information via WeChat with us. Special thanks to our driver too, who was always helpful and courteous to all of us, thanks for keeping us safe and sound throughout the trip! As for the tour, Kamikochi offered a really nice and easy hike in the nature while Tateyama offered majestic views. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who has a few days to spare in Nagoya!

We had a wonderful trip, thanks to our tour guide, Sasha, for taking such good care of everyone and for her friendly explanations of the attractions. We also want to give a definite thumbs-up to the driver. At the end of the trip, Sasha even provided some great food recommendations. Although our two days were short, the memories we made will last a lifetime.

Participating in this two-day, one-night tour was a great experience. Many thanks to our tour guide, Liu Mei! She managed the time and pace at each stop perfectly, ensuring everyone had a wonderful time.

The weather was great on our first day in Kamikochi, and the scenery was beautiful. Although we didn't see the Great Snow Wall on the second day, we still got to experience hiking. Thank you to our tour guide, Sister Mei, for enthusiastically helping us take photos and reminding us about the time. ❤️

We joined the tour on 28 May 2026. Our tour guide Zuo Sha (Sasa) was friendly and knowledgeable. She managed the booking well and arranged the hotel promptly. She attended to all the guests needs. Everything went very smoothly. The driver drove smoothly and we feel safe throughout the trip. Excellent service to both the guide and driver.

The itinerary was very fulfilling. Even with cloudy and rainy weather, the scenery was still worth seeing. I hope to visit again in a different season to enjoy a different view. The hot spring hotel we stayed at was very comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast options were abundant and delicious. Our tour guide, Yukino, constantly paid attention to each group member's situation, provided very detailed introductions to the attractions, and thoughtfully arranged breaks and other activities. At the end of the trip, she even recommended additional great places to visit in Nagoya. I'm so glad we were able to travel together as a group!

Our tour guide was very attentive, and the itinerary was well-planned. Although we couldn't see the snow wall this time, it was very windy and rainy at Tateyama. If our guide hadn't constantly encouraged and accompanied us, we would have been able to experience a 'mini snow wall' in the Snow Corridor 🤪. Due to the heavy rain and fog, even the Snow Corridor closed quickly. Since we had children with us, the guide was always very thoughtful and looked out for us. It would have been better if the hotel arrangements were a bit nicer, as there were always small insects 🕷️ in the room.

Our tour guide, Zuo Sha, and driver, Mr. Ito, took great care of everyone throughout the trip. The group members were also very cooperative, which allowed us to see the snow wall. Subsequent tour groups were not as lucky due to bad weather, and the snow wall was closed.

Four hours in Kamikochi is plenty of time! If you walk quickly, you can complete the entire route. The hotel is large and excellent, perfect for enjoying the hot springs. Both dinner and breakfast were very generous. It hailed at Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
