a very beautiful place. beware of scammers in front of the castle. take note that you will need to collect the tickets from the streets before the waterfall in front of the castle . The app provided by the tour guides is a bit minimal.

Take the elevator directly to the top of the Milan Cathedral to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The architectural design is very detailed and super worthwhile. Afterward, you can go directly to the inside of the cathedral for a visit. After visiting the cathedral entrance, you can also go to the nearby museum for free admission.

Cultural Rituals

This playful ritual is believed to bring good luck and is a must-do for visitors seeking to connect with the local culture. As you participate, you'll become part of a living history that adds a touch of whimsy to your exploration of this iconic landmark.

Cultural and Historical Significance

Named after Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a symbol of Italian unity and architectural prowess. Built between 1865 and 1877, it stands as a testament to Milan's rich history and cultural heritage. Its strategic location between il Duomo and Teatro alla Scala makes it a central hub for both locals and tourists. Since its opening, the Galleria has been a cultural hub, with venues like the iconic Bocca art bookstore, a significant presence in Milan since the nineteenth century.

Architectural Marvel

The Galleria's iron-and-glass roof is a masterpiece of engineering, featuring four barrel vaults and a grand dome. This visionary steel and glass canopy has inspired similar constructions worldwide, including the Galleria Umberto I in Naples and the Toronto Eaton Centre. The design, featuring two arcades shaped like a Latin cross, is a stunning example of 19th-century architecture. The glass and iron dome is a highlight, offering a breathtaking view that captures the essence of Milanese elegance.

Tradition and Superstition

Engage in the local tradition of spinning on the bull mosaic for good luck, a practice that has become a beloved ritual for visitors. This charming superstition adds a touch of whimsy to your visit, making it a memorable experience.

Unique Signage

All businesses within the Galleria are required to use retro gold lettering on a black background for their signs, maintaining the original design aesthetic. This unique signage adds to the Galleria's timeless charm and elegance, creating a cohesive and visually appealing environment.
