Things to do in Simatai Great Wall

It is great to have Susie as our tour guide. She is very organized and gave instructions properly. She communicated in chinese and English and the tour was implemented seamlessly. She is very proficient in both languages. She even went the extra mile to offer us some drinks at a very reasonable price in case some of us did not bring enough water..

We are a father and elementary school daughter from South Korea who participated in the September 26th tour. We met our guide, Wendy Yang, and received such kind and detailed explanations. Above all, we were grateful and impressed by her warm and responsible attitude! ☆☆☆☆☆ 1. She always sent emails ahead of anticipated situations, and on-site she kept us updated and led the way via WeChat in advance, which made things extremely convenient☆ 2. Even though the members of the tour bus had chosen different options, it was wonderful to see how she cared for and looked after each and every person☆ 3. Because she explained the traditional boats so well, we rode one, and that swaying feeling of a wooden boat rowed by hand on the water was just like traveling back a thousand years in time☆ 4. Even though we went with a young daughter and could not speak Chinese and were not fluent in English, she explained things two or three times so we could fully understand. Thanks to that, I think we were able to give our beloved daughter a once-in-a-lifetime beautiful memory☆ 5. When she checked that everyone was on the return bus, counted the heads again, and I saw her relieved expression confirming that we had safely arrived, she looked much more exhausted than in the morning, which showed how much care and attention the guide put into the entire day. Thank you so much☆ Lastly, while this job might be a daily routine for the guide, for us tourists, this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. We express our infinite gratitude to Wendy Yang for making that moment of the highest possible value! Thank you~♡

Our tour guide, Mr. Liu, was enthusiastic, friendly, and attentive, taking excellent care of both adults and children. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to comfortably explore various parts of Beijing. We hope to visit Beijing again in the future. Thank you very much.

was a great day, our guide was super helpful and made good suggestions on what to do first so we don’t have to wait in lines ect, the tabbogan was soooo much fun, it was super crowded and very busy but still definitely worth going, lunch buffet was actually really nice but there are restaurants if you wanted to get your own lunch

This was a great trip, the water village is beautiful. You can add on extras such as taking a boat to the eating street in the main area, shuttle, return cable car tickets to the Great Wall. The opt-in lunch is a hot pot. It wasnt too crowded and quite peaceful at both the Wall and village. The wall isnt as maintained as the others, but good to see its original state.It does take about 2 hours each way, but worth it. The Great Wall is open either for a morning session until 5pm, then for the evening session from 6pm which is lit beautifully for a smaller section. Bring good footwear and sun protection.

Quick responses from Klook. Worth for the price. I can literally explore both the north and south sides of the wall. I took the cable car near the high speed rail station, hiked downhill and climbed up to the south, took the tram back down.

If you want to see the view of the Great Wall from movies and paintings, Jinshanling is the section for you! It's not crowded and the tour organises all the transportation and route planning for you to get the best out of your experience! Gubei Water Town and Simatai Great Wall are also beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!

jimmy was the guide. he is knowledgeable and explained quite afair bit esp on the history of the wall. though dinner wasnt provided, he made an effect to arrange for dinner at e water city before we emarked on simatai section for sunset and night view of the great wall. the 2hrs drive was smooth. thank u Jimmy and driver.

We did a tour to Jinshanling section of the Great Wall today and our tour guide was Jimmy. We highly recommend Jimmy as a great guide. We have two 6-year old daughters and Jimmy was so kind with them and went at a pace which was suitable for us. Great communication and very professional and knowledgeable!
