Things to do in Old Summer Palace Garden

Entering directly with the QR code, which includes tickets to the two special exhibition areas inside, is extremely convenient! It saves time on queuing for tickets on-site. The Old Summer Palace consists of three garden areas. Aside from the two special exhibition areas, the rest of the scenery is also very beautiful with plenty of great photo spots. Walking through the entire park can easily take up a whole day of exploration.

This was a wonderful tour of two of the must see's while in Beijing. The Great Wall was a wonderful experience and the Summer Palace was devine. The tour guide and drivers were wonderful, knowledgeable and very helpful. It was also fantastic vaue for the money!!

The guided tour was very informative, giving us a clear understanding of the layout of the emperors' former summer retreat. We explored every courtyard and also saw the beautiful Kunming Lake. If you want to take a boat ride on the lake, it's an additional 40 RMB. We thoroughly explored the entire Summer Palace!

I was impressed by the fluent English and the detailed explanations of Chinese history. The group tour allowed us to use the fast track, quickly passing through security checks, which saved us time compared to an individual tour. This meant we had more time to explore the historical sites. However, because the pace was quite fast, it was a bit difficult for our group, which included a child, to keep up, especially in the middle and later parts of the tour. Although the guide waited for us periodically to ensure no one got separated, considering we walked over 10,000 steps three times, I would recommend this tour to those who are reasonably fit.
