Subang

The best time to visit Subang is from June to September, when the weather is generally drier for hot springs, tea plantation drives, and road trips. The Ciater highlands are cooler than Subang town, especially after rain.

Subang can be reached by road from Bandung, Jakarta, Purwakarta, or the Pantura north coast corridor. Many visitors arrive by private car as part of a Bandung, Lembang, or Ciater itinerary.

A private car or hired driver is the most convenient way to reach Sari Ater, tea areas, and nearby highland stops. In Subang town, short rides by ojek, angkot, or ride-hailing apps are useful for markets and restaurants.

Stay around Ciater or Sari Ater for hot springs, resorts, and cooler highland air. Subang town is better for transit, local food, and budget hotels. Lembang can also work if you want more restaurants and plan to visit both Ciater and Bandung-area attractions.
