This was a unique and memorable experience, not just a meal but a full cultural immersion. The atmosphere truly feels royal, making you feel like you’ve stepped back into imperial China. The setting is elegant and beautifully designed, perfect for photos. The food was well-presented and flavorful, with each dish carefully prepared to reflect traditional royal cuisine. What made the experience even more special were the live performances — graceful, entertaining, and well-timed throughout the meal. They added a lot of charm and really enhanced the overall experience. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional culture, performances, and a refined dining experience. Highly recommended for visitors looking for something unique in Beijing. 👑✨

We booked a dinner of 5 on the last night in Beijing to end our family trip with joyful memories. The Gong-yan team was awesome and beyond our expectation. The Gong-yan team messaged me via WhatsApp 2 weeks before the event to our confirmation number and others services/request if needed. We didn’t reply since is in Chinese but on the actual day itself to my surprise, they asked if we have any specific food request. I asked if can have non spicy food for my kid and to my surprise they did change 2 meal to non spicy. Is really an unforgettable dining experience for us with the performances and delicious food.

This time I participated in the lunch + show + costume makeup experience. The show was fantastic! It used dance to express inner emotions. The most memorable were the actress playing Grandma Liu and the actress playing Jia Baoyu's sister. As for the meal, the first few courses were quite good. The later dishes, the fish seemed to have been pickled in salt and were a bit too salty. The food wasn't that hot either. But the plating and tableware were very carefully done, which is commendable. I felt the makeup was a bit rough. There wasn't time to choose clothes either. Personally, I think if you participate in this activity, focus on watching the show and having lunch. Because the garden for the costume change and photo session is very small. The value for money isn't great. It would be better to participate in the costume change and photo session at the National Palace Museum. The National Palace Museum is bigger and has many more photo spots.

Our evening food tour with Mike from Discover Beijing Tours was an absolute highlight of our trip. Mike’s warmth, knowledge, and passion for Beijing’s cuisine made the experience unforgettable. We visited four amazing local spots, starting with a traditional Peking duck restaurant, where Mike taught us how to eat it like pros and shared fascinating details about food culture and sustainability in China. Next came delicate soup dumplings, one of my favorites, followed by a lively hot pot feast where we even tried black chicken. We ended with an array of Chinese pastries, plus tastings of baijiu and three local beers. Every stop was filled with flavor, history, and laughter. Mike was not just a guide but a storyteller and friend, making us feel like locals discovering hidden gems. With only a few days in Beijing, this tour made us feel we truly experienced the best of its culinary heart. Highly recommend!

Miao and her partner were very lovely hosts! we had a delicious spread of authentic home made Chinese dishes, with various meats and vegetables, fresh fruits and also home made rose dessert. Delicious drinks. We had so much fun learning and sharing about our cultures. It felt like we were home away from home. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who’d like to experience authentic home cooked feast with locals and those visiting Beijing. Food was clean and hygienic. We’ve made some friends from this experience, and hope to come back again!

The hotel is very comfortable. If you stay in a Minion or Kung Fu Panda themed room, you can check in at a special lane. You can walk downstairs directly into the amusement park. There is a special entrance specifically for hotel guests. If you stay in any type of room in the hotel, you can enter the amusement park 1 hour before the regular opening for free! (However, this does not include the entrance ticket to the amusement park.)
