It was indeed a unique experience. I’ve been to Thailand kostly in Bangkok but I never got the chance to have bonding time with the elephants This was my first time and I loved the unique experience! I will treasure these memories with our mighty elephants. Though it was just a half-day close interaction with them, I truly enjoyed this rare experience. This is a great activity for kids too. The foods served are kinda’ bland but maybe that’s how Northern Thai people prepare their food to preserve it’s healthiness. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!

The Elephant Dream Project in Chiang Mai was an incredible experience. The service was excellent, the van was comfortable, and there was a short snack break on the way. This is a genuinely ethical sanctuary – the elephants live with local families and are all rescued. There is no riding or bathing, just respectful feeding and time spent observing them peacefully.
We even met a 60-year-old grandmother elephant who has slowly regained trust in people. You help prepare their food, enjoy a delicious lunch, and visit beautiful waterfalls afterwards. The guide was funny and passionate, and your visit truly supports a real sanctuary working to rescue more elephants. Highly recommended.

The experience was amazing. A truly ethical santuary. No touching, bathing, riding the elephants. Just feeding and observing. Note that there is also a hike trail with the elephants so you must be ready with the right shoes. Also enjoyed doing the inhaler personal souvenir. :)

We enjoyed this tour. Vicky spoke English really well and the driver was a polite young man. The elephants were well behaved. It was very interesting to see the personalities and dynamics amongst the elephants and with their minders. A baby elephant ran a couple of times towards his mum for a cuddle, while she was posing with guests for photos. The minder would run after the baby, telling him to return. Very funny to watch. Cafe was pleasant to sit down at and enjoy a drink. We paid extra for the yummy shrimp spring rolls and chicken nuggets. Our son tried durian for the first time at the fruit market. He thought the taste was “interesting”. 🤣

The stops at each temple were overwhelmingly stunning — truly breathtaking at every turn. The trip is a full 12-hour day, but absolutely worth every minute. Nuttaya was amazing: incredibly knowledgeable, and always looking out for us. Highly recommend this experience!

the staff the host the food was amazing the random puppy I found on site and how nice the elephants were even the one naughty one and feeding them was just me facing my fear I would definitely do it all over again with more confidence thank you guys I loved making the medicine balls too I didn’t know it was included so it was a pleasant surprise I love you all deeply thank you for the memory

Really recommended. The guide first explain about each elephants story and then you immediately are immersed in their habitat. You will be free to feed them and touch them, always respecting their boundaries.

Good and feeding experience. Guide was really great at explaining however during the elephant bath time the guide didn’t explain that there was a step under the water and I had a misfooting and almost submerge fully into the water.
