the train 9 and 10 are newer trains and has better sleeping loungers. the train 14 is an old train. the AC of both are good.
an experience that will never be forgotten, very fun and interesting. we create many memories with friends
The trip was almost as described. Our train left Bangkok on time but arrived Chiang Mai 1 hour later than expected. In the middle of the trip, the AC was turned off in place of electric fans so it was a bit warm and uncomfy for someone who prefers the AC.
it was nice cheap ,but if you sleep near the door it's a bit noisy. sleeping overnight on train also help you to save one night of accommodation too.
With the help of KLOOK, I can easily buy a ticket from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I can get on the train directly without having to exchange tickets. I recommend it to everyone.
I recently had the chance to experience a 12-hour train ride for the first time, and it was quite an adventure! The journey was made even more enjoyable by the on-board canteen, which ensured I didn't have to worry about meals throughout the trip. Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience.
It was definitely a great experience. The bed was cosy and private once you pull your close your curtain. It actually didn't matter upper or lower berth. Upper berth has more privacy but needs to climb a couple of steps and there's no windows. I requested lower berth as first choice and upper as second but got the latter. A girl from across who got lower berth asked to change with me as she preferred the upper but got the lower. Train was clean and it was quiet during the entire sleeping time. 😴
Planes are faster and cheaper but we did it for the experience! The only thing is, our seats werent reserved close to each other so we had to hurdle around it.
Best experience for long journey trip. Many local people will sell food within the stop.
Very comfortable experience. Overnight train is very clean and provides everything you need for a comfortable sleep. For the experience, this is worth it.
