If you plan to explore the Northern Kansai region, this pass is a must-buy, as it covers all reserved seats without any additional charges. We used this single pass for our trips to Maizuru, Amanohashidate, Fukuchiyama, Yumura Onsen, Kinosaki Onsen, and Kobe before returning to Osaka! It's incredibly cost-effective for a two-day trip to Amanohashidate and the surrounding area!
Price: Excellent value for money
Included Transportation Services: The two-day pass for Amanohashidate covers all train, boat, and cable car fares for a short period, allowing you to save time and fully experience Amanohashidate.
Pass Coverage Area: Valid throughout Northern Kansai, though you might not be able to visit everything.
Redemption Instructions: You can exchange your voucher and reserve seats directly at the JR station in Kansai Airport, where Chinese-speaking staff are available. Service begins at 5:30 AM!
Seat Reservation Process: You can reserve your reserved seats later at JR station automatic ticket machines or by speaking with staff at the JR ticket counter.

The JR Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass is truly worth it. You can use it to ride the Haruka express train and the Shinkansen with reserved seats from the airport all the way to Hiroshima. You can ride as many times as you want, making it incredibly cost-effective. If you calculate the prices, it far exceeds the cost of the pass. I highly recommend this pass if you plan to travel along this route; you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Super worth just for buses alone. But, be mindful of what trains to get, as this ticket can only be used for the Nankai Koya (green on google maps) trains between Osaka-Namba/Gokurakubashi. If you want to get the faster Limited Express (blue), you need to pay a surcharge of 790 jpy cash at the station BEFORE boarding. The guards do check. FYI, they only give you a receipt for the surcharge, not an actual ticket. So, when exiting the station, you must scan your QR code.
TIPS:
Day trip is doable if you don't want to stay overnight. I left 8am, returned by 5pm.
Start at Okunoin and go backwards towards Koyasan station using buses.
Plan buses/trains ahead of time, to avoid waiting a lot. I booked a day before, planning as I go, but I wasted maybe 1.5hrs overall waiting.
Carry enough cash! The Gokurakubashi ticket counter, some local restaurants and fees you may pay are often in cash only.
Ensure you are on the right platform end (some trains are short), ask staff for help.

This helped me a lot to go to all the places I've been to in Kansai area. Since I am new to how the train system works in Japan, I tend to get lost and with this pass I never have to worry about spending extra for transpo if I end up in the wrong station as this is unlimited.

It's convenient to use the Haruka Limited Express when traveling from Kansai Airport to Osaka or Kyoto. It's even better that you can also use the bus service operating between the Inner and Outer Shrines of Ise Jingu. For a trip covering Nagoya, Ise, Wakayama, and Osaka, it's great to be able to use JR along the coastline, mountains, and valleys.

I highly recommend this tour, which covers both natural landscapes and historical sites. Our driver and guide, Li Xiang, managed the time perfectly, allowing ample time to explore each location. We spent 1 hour and 50 minutes at the Tore Tore Market. The Senjojiki rock formations were absolutely stunning on a clear day, and the panoramic 360-degree view of Wakayama City from Wakayama Castle's main keep was fantastic. We had a great time. These attractions would be difficult to reach by public transport, making this one-day tour excellent value for money.

I had an amazing time with my guide, Kimi! Kimi was super knowledgeable and sweet during the tour, and was extremely engaging with my friend and I (we did a private tour for 2). We went to the tour knowing very little about the cultural significance aside from what we read online and finished a tour with a newfound appreciation for the Nachisan area. It is an understatement how much I enjoyed myself on this tour and I highly reccommend everyone to book this tour if they are going to see the nachi falls! Aside from the amazing guide, the tour company was also very responsive, providing email updates on who to contact and where to meet, making it very easy to find our guide on the day itself.

It was great to see a part of Japan that wasn't touristy and would have been difficult to access without a personal driver. Our guide was great and extremely sweet. She did not speak fluent English but was still very helpful and got us arouns safe. We highly recommend this tour if you would like to see a part of Japan that has more locals than tourist!
