I was initially worried about finding the shuttle, but it was the bus with the rafting picture on it, so it was easy to spot. When you board, they'll confirm your details and ask if you need to rent shoes; you can also wear your own flip-flops. Along the way, there are stops for restrooms and a small town called Tully, where you can buy food and find a supermarket for lunch. Afterward, we continued to our destination. As soon as we got off the bus, we put on the wetsuits, thermal vests, life vests, and helmets they provided. It was great because the thermal vests were very warm. You need to wear your own pants (it's best to wear your swimsuit underneath). On the bus, they'll tell you who your instructor is, and once you're geared up, you can find them directly. Outdoor activities really depend on the instructor, so having a good one makes it a lot of fun! On the way back, we also stopped at a restaurant for dinner, and then we looked at the day's photos. You can split the cost of the photos with others on your boat, so it's quite a good deal, and the pictures turned out great! Safety: Very safe! We wore life vests, and the instructors were very professional!
it is existing activities and all my friends also enjoy it. Be careful it is a full day activities needs around 12 hours totally (around 2-3 hours in the main activity). Dinner is included (quite delicious) which important to add back our energy. reminder that it would make you whole body get wet! the price to purchase the photo is very affordable which is appreciated. highly recommend, join it!!
My river rafting guide was Swam (Sam) and it was so fun! They picked me up at Cairns and we travelled to Tully's river and did rafting for about 2 hours. It's worth all the money! We felt safe.
Easily one of the best things you can do in Cairns. The staff were super professional and were absolutely fun to team up with. Great vibes and overall a really interesting experience.
I would definitely recommend this activity. It’s a rare opportunity for beginners to do level 4 rafting with friendly staffs as well as enjoy the beautiful scenary. Also they were very thorough regarding safety measures. Downsides: There’s no place to change after the activity that you have to bring a big towel to cover yourself while you change, and the charge for photos was… absurd
I felt extremely safe throughout the duration of the rafting. lots of screaming and laughter. the photos look awesome too!
It's so much fun!! I think this is the most fun of the Cairns tour. If you go when it's raining, you can see a truly spectacular sight! It will be easier for you if you know how to swim to some extent! The rice was better than I expected, but dinner time was very short, so I had to eat quickly.
Fantastic guide Joey (hopefully I didn’t spell his name wrongly). Had nice talk and worked as a team throughout the rafting. We were in the water for about 2 hours. Was worried about the weather since it was raining but luckily we can still do it in light rain.
It is a must-do activity in Cairns. The coaching staff is kind and considerate. Although it is a long drive and takes 4 hours to go back and forth, the more than 2 hours of play is exciting and fun, and the photo quality is also very high!
It’s the one of the best activities you gotta try in cairns. Jonny is the guide in our boat and we had absolutely fun for the whole trip, it will be a precious memory when you look back at the pictures! Tom also is very nice to guide through things on the bus highly recommended
