Interesting show to watch. Dis not avail the dinner buffet because I already ate but there’s also a cafe outside the amphitheater where, you can hangout while waiting for the show to open AT SEVEN THIRTY (7:30 PM). I just hope you have the option to choose your seat as seats on the side does not have a back rest. Nonetheless, it is worthwile seeing the show when in Jogja!
Redemption of ticket is very easy and smooth, most of the staff there are able to speak English. Seats are pre-allocated and we are very lucky to be at the first row. The show was amazing, and it was good that they had the sypnosis printed in multiple language at the entrance. Overall, the show is quite good and I think it’s worth watching!
Great performance which only gets better as it orogresses. The dinner buffet before is a good option too.
We were too late to buy tickets to the show at Prambanan temple so went to the show in Yogya. It was nice but not overly impressive. I was expecting more dancers but there were just few of them. But as a cultural experience it is still totally worth to see. They give a small bottle of water and story explanation but the chairs are not comfortable. we went just to the show - no dinner.
While I enjoyed the show, I didn't really understand it. They do have a paper explaing the story, but somethings don't really fit well into that synopsis. Also, I was sitting in the front row of the middle section (note: none of the seats have backs). So good seat, but be ware of fire. At one point, the whole stage was on fire. And then the fire moved off the stage and really close. Dinner wasn't bad. There were quite a few Indonesian food options, but it wasn't all very warm.
location is easy to use, I came 30 minutes early for the dinner, waited to start at 6PM. A lot of mosquitos, no drinks/water is served so you will buy it separately. food is okay, performance is okay, venue needs cleaning. also, it is hot inside so bring fan, show is 1.5 hours long, seats get uncomfortable.
Loved this experience! Ticket includes a welcome drink (local tea) and English explanation of the story on paper for you to follow along. Yes, it can still be tricky trying to figure out which character is which, but overall we understood what was happening thanks to the printed explanation. The style of dancing is so cool and interesting, plus there is live music accompanying the dancing. Seating is in a covered amphitheater with fans.
The performance venue is right in downtown Yogyakarta. Although I couldn't understand the lyrics at all, I could grasp the plot from the actions and expressions. The inclusion of juggling performances added interest and energy to the show.
Amazing show! Loved the dancing and the way the performers were able to convey a whole story with their costumes and props. Many unexpected stunts that definitely blew our minds! The area had a very nice and welcoming ambience with friendly staff to help out. I recommend this show to everyone visiting Jogja. You can’t miss it!
got a dark sitting corner for my buffet but a center seat for the performance. the food taste ok, the show is interesting but bit too slow at the first half hour. the most interesting part is the monkey playing the fire.
