Explore Western Australia starting with York, the first inland settlement, known for its preserved Victorian and Federation buildings and charming rural streets. Continue to Mulka’s Cave near Wave Rock in Hyden, home to over 450 ancient Aboriginal rock paintings that tell mythological stories. Visit Hippo’s Yawn, a natural rock formation resembling a yawning hippo, perfect for climbing and fun photos. End at Wave Rock, a 15-meter-high, 110-meter-long granite formation shaped like a giant curling wave with vivid stripes of reddish-brown, black, yellow, and gray, a stunning natural wonder and iconic landmark.

I was able to have a good trip thanks to the friendly guide. Although the guide was Chinese, he could speak English so communication was not difficult. He contacted me in advance before the tour and came right on time for the pick-up, which was nice.
There were only two of us on the tour, and the guide told us that sometimes fewer people visit Wave Rock. The guide was very thoughtful, and the driving was safe and steady.
Wave Rock is a must-see when you are in Western Australia/Perth. Our local tour guide Raymond was friendly and accommodating, ensuring all our little requests were met.
Guide is very good and so kind. The Wave Rock is very stunning but the weather is very hot during there 🥵
