Decent room for me and the kids for the price. Free baggage storage in the reception in the day before check in. Free WiFi/ breakfast (but don’t be there a minute late or it’s all put away and you can’t even make a drink) room was on the bottom floor so noisy with people walking above us. But for the price I would stay again. Felt safe with kids and nice location, close to paddington station.

There was heavy water leakage from the shower head and was not fixed even after informing at the reception. The cleaner left the cleaning hand gloves on my bed. The Wifi network was not that good. Worth checking about the room that would be allocated than it was advertised.

All very good the staff member on reception was very nice and helpful.The room was adequate for 1 night a bit hot but with window open and fan on okay.Very quiet at night and a 5 min walk to paddington station .The breakfast continetal style but was okay. Deff stay again no problem

The shower wouldn’t drain. I reported it and no one showed up. The room was hotter than the 7th circle of hell so we asked for another fan. They didn’t have any. The fan that was mounted on the wall, was covered in dust so bad that it blew all over the room when it was turned on.

I recently stayed at The White House Hotel in London for one night. Considering the price, it was reasonable value for a short stay, and the gentleman who greeted us on arrival was welcoming and friendly. As I use crutches to walk, he kindly changed our room so it would be closer to the dining room, which I appreciated. However, I wasn’t informed that the dining room was located downstairs. As there is no lift, this meant I had to use the stairs to access breakfast, which was difficult and is something that should be made clear to guests with mobility needs. Although the booking was for two people, the room felt more suited to a single occupant. There was very limited space, making it quite cramped for two guests. The room itself was very dated, and unfortunately the bathroom was not as clean as I would expect from a hotel. The breakfast area, located in the basement, also appeared tired, with the carpet lifting on the stairs leading down. The buffet breakfast was quite limited, felt rather old-fashioned, and the dining area did not appear as clean as it should have been. Overall, for the price and a one-night stay, the hotel was acceptable. However, improvements to cleanliness, maintenance, breakfast quality, and clearer communication regarding accessibility would make for a much better guest experience.

The room

The hotel is one of several on Sussex Gardens. A notice on the front door told us to check in at the Seymour Hotel around the corner. The reception was basic and also served as the luggage store. We had to leave our case there with no tag or receipt. When we eventually checked into the room it was clear there were no facilities at the White House: no reception or breakfast area. You had to go back to the Seymour for both. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably well laid out but there was no handle on the inside of the bathroom. The staff were helpful but there seemed to be no staff in our building.

No air con, in this heat the room becomes far too uncomfortable. A fan that circulates warm air. Didn’t take breakfast.
