Fantastic 5.0
Easy to use, app is simple and provides good info on train routes etc. A bit pricey at first, but you if you don’t have definite plans and prebooked train tickets months before, will recommend getting this to avoid variable prices.

Fantastic 5.0
The BritRailPass is so worth it. Easy to activate and use the QR codes for each day. You can take your time and be assured that you can board the train at the time that you prefer. There are routes though that are really popular and crowded. Train fares are quite expensive if you buy them on the day itself so the flexibility helped a lot. We traveled around UK with our large luggages. just make sure to board the coach with the luggage compartment.

Fantastic 5.0
While it wasn't very useful within London itself, as the subway is the primary mode of transport, it was incredibly convenient when traveling to Oxford and Gloucester! Being able to ride the Heathrow Express is also a great perk!

Fantastic 5.0
The stadium atmosphere was great, which was very nice, and the 9320 seats were also very comfortable. The farewell to Coach Pep at the end was especially touching. However, the main point is this package: I couldn't book the Etihad Stadium Tour or the Manchester City hip hop bus Tour, which is very disappointing.

Great 4.0
Two hours was a bit rushed for the scope of the itinerary, but it was still very worthwhile to quickly gain a good understanding of the city's past and present. Unfortunately, headphones were not provided as stated in the activity description. Although our group was small, it's not ideal for a group to stop and listen on busy streets, so there were many times when we couldn't hear the explanations.

Fantastic 5.0
The tour guide was very interesting and humorous, and the itinerary wasn't too strenuous. The attractions were well-arranged and offered good value for money. The only downside was the extremely hot weather; the air conditioning on the tour bus wasn't cold enough, so the temperature inside the bus remained high during the midday and afternoon.

What to know before visiting Manchester

Quick overview of Manchester and what draws visitors

Manchester’s busiest bookings on Klook cluster around events, shows and attraction passes, with tours also featuring among popular experiences. Demand rises and falls through the year, so the city’s rhythm mixes big-event months with quieter periods for sightseeing.

When to visit: peak, off-peak and price notes

Klook booking data shows the busiest month is November and the quietest month is March. Prices drift through the year: they’re typically lowest around October and remain modest across late spring and summer, then spike to their highest in March. For lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for October or the quieter spring months; if you want peak-season atmosphere around major events, November is the time to go. Note that prices and demand don’t always move together here — November is very busy while March is quiet but actually one of the priciest months by Klook data.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers from Australia typically book activities about 18 days ahead, with a useful window up to around 45 days for planning and a last‑minute cushion of about four days. If you’re flexible, many experiences can still be arranged a few weeks out, but for events and popular shows in November consider locking plans earlier. Use Klook to compare availability and options so you can pick what suits your travel style.
