Pros: The Zetter Bloomsbury is in a great location and walkable. The rooms have air conditioning, which is a must for the summer. Clean and the staff is very friendly. There is also an elevator on site. Cons: the standard rooms and beds are TINY. Good for a solo traveler but not for two people. There is no TV, so if you want to unwind after a long day with some tele, you’ll need your phone or iPad. They have a giant screen in the garden, but what is shown is at the discretion of the hotel management. We were there during the World Cup and Wimbledon and guests were trying to find places to watch both, which was frustrating to some people. Also, some of the flooring in the hallways on the 3rd were uneven which created trip hazards.

This hotel is the newest addition to the Zetter hotels collection and as such, we thought we'd give it a try and stay here after having stayed at the Marylebone location earlier in our trip. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a garden that is truly unmatched. It was beautiful to sit out here for breakfast, drinks, and dinner, not to mention to watch Wimbledon and England World Cup matches. The atmosphere was fantastic. The room was also very nice--well-appointed with comfy bed and nice light. The bathroom was nice but had no outlet for the hairdryer and the water pressure was inconsistent. Twice I was left without running water in the shower. The service is also not quite to the level expected at the Zetter. Orders at the restaurant were not taken for long periods, items had to be ordered multiple times, coffee cups half-filled and tasting terrible. I imagine and hope that this will improve as the staff settles in more as the hotel has only been operating for 2-3 months. Given the location, which is much calmer than the Marylebone one, and the garden, I would love to be able to stay here again with better services.

We stayed in a Cosy room. It was small but clean and comfortable. They renewed the coffee and the waters for us daily and made the room up nicely each day. The common areas were tastefully decorated and the service was very good.

Could have been fabulous…fell short on execution on some key areas, namely incredibly slow and inconsistent bar/food service. Said they were showing Wimbledon, but only one staff member (often unavailable) able to actually put on a station anyone wanted to watch. Subpar cleaning service - left room before 9:00 am and still not cleaned at 4:30 p.m. perfect location, beautiful grounds, needs better management to ensure consistent and memorable service. And if you care to have a television in your room, you need to specify - even at a higher room category, we had a bathtub but no television, which would have been ok except for the Wimbledon debacle.

The hotel was beautiful including the room, common spaces, garden, etc. We loved the location and the cute Wimbledon viewing area they had set up. Our only complaint was the staff. While everyone was incredibly nice, it seemed like there’s a lot of confusion. I know the hotel opened in April but 3 months later it felt like a lot of the service issues should have already been ironed out, especially at the bar and slow food service.

Beyond amazing. I look forward to any excuse to return to London for an excuse to return to Zetter Bloomsbury. Location, service, amenities all excellent - but absolutely extraordinary design is what puts it over the top. Unexpected juxtapositions of art, textiles and sculpture, mixes of old and new, all curated with confidence. It feels unique and inevitable all at once. I couldn’t stop taking pictures or lingering to take in more if the attention to detail. It is timeless and exciting. Bravo to all.
