Fantastic 5.0
The famous Qingdao Beer Museum was incredibly crowded, but thanks to our advance reservation, we were able to go straight to the entrance, show our tickets, and get in. The product information stated the meeting point was the 'Tourist Center Ticket Plaza,' but I didn't know where that was, and there were too many people to use the multilingual audio guide. I thought it would be a location inside the museum, but it was hard to find. Despite that minor disappointment, we enjoyed exploring the facilities and savored the honey peanuts and two glasses of beer per person. The gift shop was quite large, and many people were buying beer, but you can purchase the original beer at the airport duty-free shop for the same price, so there's no need to carry it around beforehand. The honey-flavored peanuts are truly delicious! You can also find these at the duty-free shop. We also used the unlimited beer included in the package, and I went to the 1903 LAB. You can start using it from 4:30 PM, and the interior was clean, the staff were friendly, so we had a great time enjoying delicious snacks and drinks. You just show your QR code in advance and keep asking for refills. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance!

I went with the driver and two local guides and had a great time. Communication was done via Papago, so there were no major inconveniences.

The venue was beautifully decorated and the performances were interesting. The food was exquisite and artfully presented, served with a pot of tea and wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our night

I usually don't leave reviews, but wow... I think this is the best possible outcome when China's capital and technological might meet a human wave attack. The performance itself is at a high school freshman level, but you're not going to see the performance; you're going to see the stage sets and effects. First, the venue is relatively out of the way, but once you see the show, you'll completely understand why. Definitely watch it from 360 degrees. It's great for elementary school boys or elderly parents. However, since you'll be watching the show with Chinese people, well... yes, there are moments, but it's hard to find a show of this caliber for this price. Since it's outdoors, a windbreaker was absolutely necessary today (as of late May).

I truly enjoyed the experience! The performance was professional and interactive with audiences. Wonderful experience! One reminder is not to book VIP for elderly as the seat design was slightly not friendly for audience to sit down/get up.

Great experience. We (4 others and I) had a driver/guide who grew up in the Laoshan area. She is witty, extremely knowledgeable and professional. I didn't remember her name though. My rudimentary understanding of Putonghua a.k.a. Mandarin, has helped though.

We made the most of our day in Qingdao, visiting all the famous spots at a great value. Everything was perfect, from the pre-trip information and guiding to the punctuality of meeting times. However, with five people, including the driver, in a sedan, the seating was a bit uncomfortable during travel.

Our tour operator was Infinite Tour. I contacted them via whatsapp and they responded very fast and in good English. They were very clear and detailed in their response. Our guide Xiao Zhu is very patient, efficient, caring, professional. I was always lagging behind the group as I was busy taking photos, she constantly kept a lookout for me. She was observant to our needs. Driver was careful and punctual. We are very pleased with opeartor, guide and driver service. . Best value for money tour in our entire trip. Will surely book future tours with Klook. Thank you very much!

We really appreciate that they were able to accommodate us last minute. The guide was very patient with us and gave us extra care knowing that we were not locals. The views were phenomenal, but make sure to prepare for a sweaty climb up the mountain. Downsides were: 1) The bus was really hot - the airconditioning was barely tolerable in the afternoon heat. 2) The bus driver smoked at every stop opportunity, leaving the interior with a perpetual cigarette smell.

What to know before visiting Qingdao

Top experiences to book in Qingdao City

Qingdao City is best known for museums and cultural experiences, followed by guided tours and attraction passes that also draw steady interest across the year. Demand builds toward late spring and peaks in November, while April sees the lowest booking activity.

Great options for families, couples and solo travellers

Families will find zoos, aquariums and parks & gardens a natural fit, with easy, budget-friendly entry options among the city's most-booked categories. Couples often favour tours and attraction passes for curated, romantic or discovery-focused days out. Solo travellers and small groups can pick between museums for low-cost, flexible visits and the wider range of tours when they want something more structured.

What travellers from Australia typically book ahead

With a typical planning window of around five days, most things in Qingdao City can be arranged a day or two before travel, though earlier planners often book roughly a couple of weeks ahead and that extra lead time matters most in the November peak. If you're travelling in the busiest months, consider locking in tours and popular passes in advance.

How categories compare on price and audience

Museums sit at the entry-level end of the price range and are the easiest way into Qingdao City's attractions, appealing to budget-conscious visitors and culture seekers. Tours occupy the top end and show the widest spread of prices, making them suitable for travellers who want either economy group options or more premium, private experiences. Attraction passes and zoos & aquariums sit between those extremes, offering mid-range choices that work well for families and mixed-interest groups.
