Great experience. We (4 others and I) had a driver/guide who grew up in the Laoshan area. She is witty, extremely knowledgeable and professional. I didn't remember her name though. My rudimentary understanding of Putonghua a.k.a. Mandarin, has helped though.

Our tour operator was Infinite Tour. I contacted them via whatsapp and they responded very fast and in good English. They were very clear and detailed in their response. Our guide Xiao Zhu is very patient, efficient, caring, professional. I was always lagging behind the group as I was busy taking photos, she constantly kept a lookout for me. She was observant to our needs. Driver was careful and punctual. We are very pleased with opeartor, guide and driver service. . Best value for money tour in our entire trip. Will surely book future tours with Klook. Thank you very much!

The medium-sized bus was full, and of course, I was the only Japanese person among the 12 passengers. However, after I booked the tour, the guide communicated diligently with me, confirming the pickup location and other details. It was a difficult place to get to on my own, but I'm glad I took the leap and went, as I truly believe it's a must-see. The weather was perfect, and I had a wonderful day.

We made the most of our day in Qingdao, visiting all the famous spots at a great value. Everything was perfect, from the pre-trip information and guiding to the punctuality of meeting times. However, with five people, including the driver, in a sedan, the seating was a bit uncomfortable during travel.

The famous Qingdao Beer Museum was incredibly crowded, but thanks to our advance reservation, we were able to go straight to the entrance, show our tickets, and get in. The product information stated the meeting point was the 'Tourist Center Ticket Plaza,' but I didn't know where that was, and there were too many people to use the multilingual audio guide. I thought it would be a location inside the museum, but it was hard to find. Despite that minor disappointment, we enjoyed exploring the facilities and savored the honey peanuts and two glasses of beer per person. The gift shop was quite large, and many people were buying beer, but you can purchase the original beer at the airport duty-free shop for the same price, so there's no need to carry it around beforehand. The honey-flavored peanuts are truly delicious! You can also find these at the duty-free shop. We also used the unlimited beer included in the package, and I went to the 1903 LAB. You can start using it from 4:30 PM, and the interior was clean, the staff were friendly, so we had a great time enjoying delicious snacks and drinks. You just show your QR code in advance and keep asking for refills. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance!

I hesitated about posting a personal photo, but I'm posting it. I was really satisfied. There was a variety of clothes, and I liked the hair accessories. You can change clothes in the dressing room after choosing, and if you are not familiar with traditional clothing, the staff will help you wear it. Overall, the clothes were not old, and the colors were vibrant. I heard that's because it hasn't been open for long. The hair is usually done by a very skilled staff member in less than 10 minutes per person. I wondered if one person could take care of everyone since she works alone, but she creates amazing results at a fantastic speed. It was good. However, unlike the Wanghong experience that is popular in Korea these days, they don't apply eyelashes or do heavy makeup. They just trim your eyebrows a bit? Still, I think it's a unique experience to wear traditional clothes and enjoy a performance and meal together. If you are thinking about it, I highly recommend you do it, but there are quite a few Koreans, so I recommend you take pictures with a bit of boldness haha! Ah! The performance starts at 6:30 PM, but I recommend arriving by 4:30 PM, or 5 PM at the latest. If you arrive late, many of the pretty clothes will be gone, and you need time to take your own photos. Honestly, I was debating between Lan Chi Yien Phu, but I chose Guanbuyeon because I heard that Lan Chi Yien Phu's performance is more professional, Guanbuyeon's facilities and interior are more fancy and relatively new, and if you want to try on clothes, go to Guanbuyeon. I think it was a great choice. I hope everyone refers to this and has a pleasant trip!!

I usually don't leave reviews, but wow... I think this is the best possible outcome when China's capital and technological might meet a human wave attack. The performance itself is at a high school freshman level, but you're not going to see the performance; you're going to see the stage sets and effects. First, the venue is relatively out of the way, but once you see the show, you'll completely understand why. Definitely watch it from 360 degrees. It's great for elementary school boys or elderly parents. However, since you'll be watching the show with Chinese people, well... yes, there are moments, but it's hard to find a show of this caliber for this price. Since it's outdoors, a windbreaker was absolutely necessary today (as of late May).

I truly enjoyed the experience! The performance was professional and interactive with audiences. Wonderful experience! One reminder is not to book VIP for elderly as the seat design was slightly not friendly for audience to sit down/get up.

What to know before visiting Qingdao

Top experiences in Qingdao across the year

Qingdao’s top bookings are dominated by museums, followed by guided tours and attraction passes, with demand climbing through autumn and peaking in November. Visitor interest dips in April and summer months, so the city’s cultural sites and organized tours feel busiest in the autumn rhythm of the year.

Best activities for families, couples and solo travellers

Families tend to gravitate to museums and the zoo & aquarium options here — these categories offer approachable, family-friendly experiences and straightforward entry. Couples often choose tours or attraction passes for curated, photo-ready days out and to see highlights without fuss. Solo travellers and small groups will find museums and self-paced attraction passes easy to mix and match, while guided tours suit those who prefer company and local insight.

What travellers from Hong Kong should book ahead

Most visitors from Hong Kong book activities about five days in advance on average, while the earliest planners secure spots around twelve days ahead. That said, if you’re travelling in the peak period of November, it’s worth booking earlier than usual since demand is substantially higher then; outside peak months many things remain reasonably flexible to reserve a day or two before.

Comparing categories: price and who they suit

Museums are the easiest way in, typically offering the lowest mid-range prices and straightforward access for budget-conscious visitors and families. Tours sit at the priciest end and also show the widest range of options, so they suit travellers seeking a premium or tailored experience. Attraction passes and zoos & aquariums fall between those extremes, offering mid-range choices that work well for couples and small groups looking for convenience without the top-tier price.
