Booked the afternoon before, and the order was confirmed in the evening, with the meeting point informed by email. Staying in Cat Ba town, it took five minutes to walk to the meeting point the next morning. First, guests are picked up from each hotel, and then we go to the pier to board the cruise ship. The first stop is a village tour, with free small fish foot massage and bicycle riding, with about an hour of free time. Electric cars pick us up and return us to the cruise ship. The second stop is swimming, where guests can swim freely, or lie down on the cruise ship if they don't want to swim. Then lunch, buffet style, the food is fresh and delicious! After lunch, we first return to the port to drop off the half-day tourists, and then pick up a group of afternoon half-day tourists. Then continue to sea, the third activity is a double kayak, about 40 minutes, with almost no wind and waves, very safe. Back on the cruise ship, continue sailing for a while, and then we arrive at the afternoon swimming spot. Freely choose whether to go into the sea, if you don't want to go into the sea, you can have afternoon tea on the cruise ship, free tea and fruit. After a short break, the cruise ship slowly sails back to the port. The tour guide arranges shuttle buses to take everyone back to the hotel, stop by stop. A day trip, the itinerary is very rich, but very leisurely.

The trip was great and really fun! The crew was super nice and our guide was very friendly, funny, and always told us exciting things about the area. There was only one other family on board with us, so we were also able to really enjoy the peace and quiet.

It was a very nice day. The tour guide who picked us up in Hanoi was very responsible and reliable. He was afraid we couldn't find the place, so he rode a motorcycle to pick us up. The tour guide Happy on Cat Ba Island was excellent, providing smiling service throughout and patiently teaching each tourist how to use a kayak. The atmosphere was great. The itinerary was appropriately arranged, with a good balance of activity and relaxation, so it was fulfilling but not tiring. There was no hard selling or shopping during the entire trip. I hope that in the future there can be Mandarin commentary, as all-English is a bit difficult for Chinese tourists.

Great hotel. The best I've stayed in so far in Vietnam. Noise from karaoke but most people I talked to from other hotels said the same thing. Hoai was very good giving me recommendations for restaurants

It was definitely an experience! We were a group of 9, and since the cruise does have only 4 rooms, we were the only ones. The complete itinerary was really well-planned. From cycling in the Cat Ba to kayaking in the bay and then stargazing in the most clear sky, each was an unique and beautiful experience. The 1st lunch we had was really great, the vegetarians even felt that it was one of the best veg foods they had in Vietnam. The rooms and the complete deck in general was really well-maintained. The only things to consider are that the food is limited and subject to individual taste. Also better keep cash, although they agreed for us to pay through card once we returned, but it was a bit time-taking process. Would definitely recommend Lan Ha Bay/Cat Ba Island as it was peaceful, not much crowded and the activities and sights were amazing!
