Great value, close to The Rocks, generous sized rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights and honestly had such a good experience. The staff clean your room daily even without asking, which I really appreciated after long days out. The room itself is compact but super comfortable, with a private toilet and shower, and I loved waking up to the view of the Town Hall tram line, the side of QVB, and York Street. They also have a small pantry where you can heat up food and enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and tea — a small but thoughtful touch. The location is perfect: right by the Town Hall light rail, train station, and metro. There’s also a Woolworths nearby for souvenirs or essentials, and it’s walking distance to Hyde Park, Sydney Tower Eye, and my favorite — St. Mary’s Cathedral. Would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Sydney. 💜

**I am very happy with my stay at the Occidental Hotel, a place with a long history. I love its architecture, which makes me feel as if I’ve stepped back into the 18th century. From the window of my room, I could see doves visiting and a large clock tower — it was so romantic. The room is spacious and even has a sink inside. My floor has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets (separate for men and women), making a total of 4 bathrooms. The air conditioning works well, so I never felt cold even when going out to the bathroom. Check-in was easy — just go to the pub reception and ask for help. For check-out, you simply return the key to the box on the first floor. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Wynyard Station, with easy access to Circular Quay, Town Hall, QVB, and Darling Harbour. It’s also close to Coles supermarket. Overall, a perfect location!**
