Just outside of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels offer one of the most eye-opening and unforgettable experiences in Vietnam. This vast underground network—originally built by hand—was used by Vietnamese fighters during the war for hiding, living, storing supplies, and launching surprise attacks. Located about 40 to 65 kilometers from the city, it's a must-do half-day trip when you're in southern Vietnam. When you explore the Cu Chi Tunnels Vietnam, you’re not just walking through history—you’re crawling through it. You’ll learn how the tunnels were cleverly designed to protect against enemy forces and get a close-up look at wartime tools, booby traps, and even taste survival food like boiled tapioca. It’s a mix of hands-on discovery and serious reflection that travelers say is “super super interesting” and completely worth your time.

We had a great experience on our Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong River tour! Everything was well-organized and seamless, from pick-up to drop-off. Our guide, Vinh, was excellent. His English was great, he was very accommodating, and he made sure all the guests were comfortable and taken care of throughout the day. He shared a lot of interesting information and patiently answered everyone’s questions. The tour itself was packed with activities but didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommended, especially if you get Vinh as your guide!
