Things to do in Muir Woods National Monument

I'm so glad I joined this tour 🧳! I was originally planning to visit Muir Woods National Monument, but due to Trump's policies, the first stop was changed to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. The scenery was still beautiful. The second stop was in Sausalito, where I saw a beautiful seaside town and enjoyed the sea breeze. 👍👍👍 Although the itinerary changed, it was still a unique experience. 👍

My wife and I had so much fun. Muir woods was closed due to the government shutdown, but we traveled to the boat houses and had a great experience. Tour guide was great, comfortable ride around the Bay Area, 5/5 tour.

Although we encountered federal budget cuts and couldn't go to Muir Woods, we were offered an alternative: the larger and more pristine Amsterdam Woods. The journey was a bit longer, so I caught up on sleep on the bus. Once we arrived, we had some time to wander around and take photos. The driver informed us of the meeting time. Afterwards, we headed back to the town of Sausalito. Since I chose to take the ferry back, I said goodbye to the driver there. Sausalito is a lovely waterfront town. I bought lunch and enjoyed it by the sea, very relaxing! Then, I strolled around and had some ice cream 🍦 before returning to the city. It was a great half-day trip. The meeting point was very clear, with signs, and someone was there to confirm names when it was time to leave. Everything was very clear.

had a great tour to the woods. It's well worth visiting early to avoid the crowds and wonder freely through the paths.

Cruise around the bay and have a close up look at the Golden Gate Bridge and Famous Alcatraz Island where the most notorious criminal are being locked up in the past.

Had a really good time with our funny tour guide Dustin! Went to Muir Woods which was super nice and serene place. We went to Sausalito for lunch afterwards and Dustin recommended some good food places. Afterwards, he even brought us to a quick stop at a viewing point to see the golden gate bridge which was super nice ! The alcatraz tour was also really great and honestly the self guided audio tour was more than enough to experience the place. Overall, highly recommend :)

had a lovely day trip out of SF city centre to Muir woofs and sausalito, ending off with Alcatraz tour. timing of the activities were spaced just nicely

I’m in awe with the efforts made by the Muir Woods National Monuments in preserving this natural treasures. Coast redwood is the tallest tree in the world at the moment!
