My family, consisting of my spouse and one high school-aged child, initially planned a free-and-easy trip to Kyoto. After much deliberation, we decided on a Kyoto bus tour, and I truly believe it was the best choice we could have made. We went on a tour with Guide Park In-san, and from the moment we departed until we were dropped off, he was incredibly attentive, cheerful, and meticulous in taking care of all the travelers. He also provided a plan that allowed us to make the most of our time, giving us a day that would have been impossible to experience on a self-guided trip. As a side note, Guide Park In-san has a wonderful voice, which made his explanations very engaging and easy to follow. He also took beautiful family photos for us, and I was very satisfied that we weren't just herded around in a large group, but rather had the freedom to explore at our own pace. I've highly recommended Guide Park In-san from 'Yeohaenghan Geureut' to many family travelers I know who are going to Osaka, urging them to definitely try 'Yeohaenghan Geureut'! Thanks to 'Yeohaenghan Geureut', my trip to Kyoto was so satisfying that I want to go again, and it feels like I received a wonderful memory as a gift. Thank you for a delightful trip!

Our guide was incredibly kind and clearly went out of their way to provide excellent service. One person in our group had a backache and found walking for too long difficult, but we took appropriate breaks and enjoyed sightseeing at a comfortable pace. It was a delightful trip.

Luckily, the weather was great, perfect for walking around, and the sky looked beautifully blue in photos. Thanks to our guide, Shin Yoon-kyung, who always kept a smile, we had a wonderful time. She enthusiastically took photos for us at Kinkaku-ji Temple and even made restaurant reservations so we didn't have to wait and could enjoy a comfortable lunch. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who's considering it.

Our guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. I took my husband and 2 kids and we all loved it! The seats on the train were a little small so beware if you are a larger person.

Our guide Huahua was great and explained everything well. He was helpful and humour too. The tour was great too but the time spent in places was a bit short. Very convenient tour if you wish to travel Osaka after Kyoto

Cultural and Historical Significance

Kokedera Temple, also known as Saihōji, is a treasure trove of history and culture. Founded in the 700s by Bodhisattva Gyoki, it has been a spiritual haven for centuries. The temple's gardens, crafted by Muso Kokushi in the 1300s, are a testament to its enduring beauty and have inspired iconic landmarks like Kyoto's Golden and Silver Pavilions. Despite facing natural disasters and war, the temple's moss-covered landscape has become its signature allure. Originally a villa for Prince Shotoku, it was transformed into a Zen temple during the Nara Period, reflecting its deep cultural significance and ongoing spiritual practices.
