Queenstown Day trips

We went out on the RealNZ Milford Monarch. The Captain was very informative of the sights and history of the sound. He took us close to beautiful waterfalls for great photo ops. The cafe had good food and drinks. This is a beautiful experience worth the long drive

Our tour guide Kevin from Altitude Tours Queenstown was engaging, informative and entertaining. We were comfortably taken to Glenorchy & Paradise and enjoyed a little picnic with some delicious south land food and hot drinks. We were able to take some beautiful photos. Highly recommend this operator

The tour is packed in one day. Very reasonable and worth the price. Our tour guide Andy is a safe driver, good at communicating and was also very generous in stopping at other beautiful spots apart from listed itinerary to take some shots. highly recommended.

I had an amazing time visiting Arrowtown and Wanaka. My experience was definitely extra special as the tour guide knew so much about the town and would mention random facts that you wouldn’t know (compared to self guided). Definitely was worth booking with this tour and highly recommend anyone to do so!

This is really my honest review! I book the trip with my mom. The tour with altitude team is truly amazing, the timeliness, the car is clean and they even provide blanket for all of us. But the star of this journey is Andy! our tour guide+driver, he is so kind and helpful, He even always made sure all of his clients were doing well, and whenever we needed a restroom break, he was very attentive. You could truly see that he loves his job and is passionate about explaining everything throughout the journey. I would definitely choose this tour again for my next trip maybe to mt cook. The drive to Glenorchy offers beautiful scenery. Our driver and guide, Jim, was excellent and very attentive to our needs. He was also enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and could even take photos for you if you wished. The scenery at the wharf was also lovely.

This was an amazing experience. Andy was a great guide and tour operator - he shared a lot of historical facts about New Zealand and Mt Cook (Aoraki). He gave us recommendations on which walking trails to do, had a nice time management - it was a long ride but was very comfortable and insightful. The views of Lake Pukaki and Aoraki and around is stunning, it is all worth the day trip.

My family and I had a wonderful time throughout the 13 hour van ride from Christchurch to Queenstown. The cost of the tour is well worth it, since we were able to enjoy all the sights and stops we made. The snacks and lunch were also delicious and filling. Rosie picked us up from our hotel and took us to Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook, while Abbie drove us from Mt Cook to High Country Salmon Farm and then to our Queenstown accommodation. The ride itself felt comfortable and safe. There were 3 vacant seats in Rosie's van, while Abbie's was full with 16 people inside. This was a really fun way to get around. Will definitely recommend Cheeky Kiwi to friends and family!

We booked a Queenstown to Christchurch transfer tour for June 26th. From the start, communication was seamless; the reception team quickly answered all pre-trip questions and sent helpful safety reminders. Everything was perfectly well-prepared. The driving was exceptionally safe. Our morning guide was high-energy, sharing great local stories. The guides clearly love their jobs and the NZ landscape, taking us to secret viewpoints with plenty of photo time. Their boss even called ahead during the trip to check road conditions after recent snow—a thoughtful touch. They also saved our day at Mt Cook by providing ice spikes when we realized our running shoes weren't enough, alongside water and snacks. The transition to the next leg was seamless. The lady who took over was highly responsible, ensuring we forgot nothing and waiting with us. Finally, our Christchurch driver safely dropped everyone off right at their respective hotels on time.
