Things to do in Xi'an

The Terracotta army did not disappoint was amazing to see in situ. once there you can pay to be taken up to the main area if dont want a long walk. well mapped out. unfortunately you have to walk back (unless we missed it) and its a long walk but through a huge food /shopping area

A small group tour English guide. Chelsea was an amazing tour guide. She's very knowledgeable about the rich history of Xi'an and China. She even recommended some places to visit and Xi'an speciality food to try. I didn't know that 1/2 day tour was with lunch included so it's a bit surprised when Chelsea straight away arranged halal food at a local muslim resto for me and my family after the first meeting! Thank you very much! Highly recommend this tour.

We started day early the bus picked us up in front of the hotel. The journey took about one hour and started with cable car to Mount Li then straight to Huaqing Palace. Afternoon lunch at Terracotta Warrior Museum then visit the Terracotta for 2 hours. Next to the Emperor Qinshihuang Museum then they send us back to Huaqing Palace for The Song of Everlasting Sorrow show at 630 pm. We booked middle seat. You have to pay for the kids if your kids want separate seats does not matter the age. While waiting we had dinner first at the mall in front of the palace. After the show ended, the bus waiting to send us back to the hotel. It was a good experience and organized well with the very helpful tourist guide. Good memory here 😊

After watching "赳赳大秦 (The Qin Empire)," I didn't feel excitement, but a deep sense of heaviness. It's not just a simple glorification of the empire's strength, but it allows you to see how a country is built step by step through discipline, fear, sacrifice, and belief. Qin is cold and ruthless. But precisely because of this, it was able to stand its ground in a chaotic world. Standing in front of the stage, watching the momentum of thousands of troops, I suddenly understood: "赳赳 (Jiū Jiū)" is not arrogance, but a choice forced out by the times. Behind the strength lies the silence of countless nameless people; behind the unification are individual destinies that can never return. This is not a performance that makes people feel relaxed, but a reminder that the weight of history is never romantic.

The tour was very good but extremely tiring. We traveled from the west to the north in the morning, and it took a few hours to make our way down. The views were absolutely amazing, yet also quite terrifying at times, as some of the steps were very steep and required constant caution. This tour is definitely not recommended for the elderly, as it demands a lot of movement, strength, and careful footing to complete the climb. Although the trip was cold and nerve-racking, the breathtaking scenery—and the many cats you’ll encounter along the way—made the entire journey 100% worth it.

Everything is good. The guide was there early to engage thd group. The guide give good and detail explanation of the key exhibits.

The stage production and the performance is amazing. Best to understand the story before going to the show so that you are able to have a clearly understanding on the overall performance. The show is outdoor so it will be cold during winter, just have to keep yourself warm.

We had a private tour in Xi’an visiting the Terracotta Army, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and Huaqing Palace, and it was an outstanding experience — mainly thanks to our guide, Sophia. Sophia has a deep knowledge of Chinese history and the sites we visited, explaining everything clearly and in a very engaging way. She is extremely intelligent, well-informed, friendly, and attentive, always making us feel comfortable and involved throughout the tour. What made the experience even more special was her genuine curiosity and interest in Brazilian culture. She asked thoughtful questions and created a real cultural exchange, which made the tour feel personal and meaningful, not just informational. The places themselves are incredible, but they became even better with Sophia’s guidance. We also appreciated our driver, Mr. Wang, who was professional and kind. We truly loved this tour and highly recommend Sophia to anyone visiting Xi’an.

The Shaanxi Museum Guide Ms Nana was very knowledgeable and explained the exhibit at Hall 4, 6 and 7 in details to us. The whole tour took abt 3hrs. For the camel bell show, we enjoyed it very much and the driver pick us up and drop us off at the hotel. Both segments were planned well and the agent contacted me one day in advance via WA with the details. Highly recommended.
