I had a very nice massage. Convenient redemption. You get free drinks, pastries and Matcha ice cream afterwards too! You can book your preferred timeslots via Whatsapp, 3 hours in advance but usually if they’re not too full it should be fine

Jakarta Aquarium & Safari at Central Park Mall is honestly such a fun spot for both kids and adults. If you're a foreign tourist, the ticket is a bit pricier, but it’s totally sulit (worth it) because you get so much free stuff included, like a free meal and drink at Ciao Goo (formerly Pingoo), a cute headband, a printed photo, an interactive game round, and even discount coupons for the stores in the mall. The best part is how interactive it is: you can actually pet a capybara, feed the animals, touch starfishes at the touch pool, and check out some unique species you won't find at other ocean parks. The penguin parade is super adorable (the penguins ran right in front of us and they were so cute), there’s a pearl harvesting experience, and tons of snack options inside. The mermaid show was pretty cool even if it was a bit short. Fur seal show was okay, but it was fun watching Renzo do tricks. Plus, the staff are all so kind and polite. Definitely worth checking out!

Booking tickets through Klook for my first visit to Jakarta was convenient. Upon arrival, I just needed to exchange the voucher at the Klook counter, avoiding long queues. I was able to explore Agora Mall and have dinner first, then enjoy the high-rise night view from the Up at Thamrin Nine observation deck. Since it was my first time in Jakarta, I noted that the sunset is earlier than in other Southeast Asian cities. There's a section on the observation deck where you can watch a short film introducing Jakarta, which I found very informative, giving us insight into Jakarta's past and present.

Everything is so efficient from getting off the LRT station, taking the shuttle and entering TMII. Despite the heat, walking was the best way to experience TMII. Stay until 18:30 if you want to experience the light show at the Dancing Fountain. Tip: the shuttle from the LRT station is included with the ticket, just follow the "Travoy" signs to the waiting area. Shuttles come every 20min or so. Bring a water to hydrate and replenish, it's a big park.

Convenient with pick up at hotel and private driver and guide. Comes at a cost but also meant the day is customisable. The places are beautiful but does require some level of fitness and adventurous spirit.

From the beginning, Aisya was exceptionally warm, attentive, and organized. She wasn't just guiding us from spot to spot; she genuinely cared about giving us the richest experience possible. Throughout the day, she shared fascinating, in-depth insights into Indonesia’s rich history, local culture, and unique geography that we never would have discovered on our own. Whenever we came across a scenic spot or a great photo zone, she always made sure to stop us and take beautiful pictures so that we wouldn’t miss capturing the moment.Traveling with an elderly parent can sometimes be tiring, but Aisya was constantly mindful of our pace, ensuring my father felt completely comfortable and relaxed every step of the way. What touched us most was her dedication even after theofficial tour wrapped up. She went outof her way to helpus coordinate and smooth out our personal schedule for the rest of the evening, making sure everything was seamlessly arranged. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!

We love every bit of the tour package, the Safari is so big that you'll have so much to do the whole day, never a boring part. The whole place is very kid friendly and will be so much fun for them that we even plan to visit it again next year and bring the kids. We specially commend our driver, Shoimul, for being such a friendly and accommodating driver and tour guide. He even volunteer to take us to the airport after the tour (with additional cost of course), but had made our last day in Jakarta extra convenient.

What to know before visiting Jakarta

What to expect in Jakarta

The things-to-do catalogue is led by Observation decks, Zoos & aquariums, Attraction passes, Massages and Tours, so you can pick quick sightseeing tickets or longer guided experiences depending on how much time and budget you have. Tours offer the widest price range and the most opportunity to choose between budget and premium options, while Attraction passes are the most affordable way in for budget-conscious travellers. Demand peaks in November and is quietest in October, so booking the same experiences is generally harder in November and easier in October.

How to choose what to book

The main decision is whether you want a low-cost entry or a fuller guided experience, and matching price to how much you want to see is key. The category with the widest range is Tours, with a typical price around AUD 82 and a usual range from AUD 54 to AUD 116, so shopping for different tour styles can yield very different experiences. Attraction passes are the most affordable way in, typically around AUD 3, and suit filling gaps in an itinerary, while categories like Zoos & aquariums (typically around AUD 15) and Massages (typically around AUD 25) have narrower ranges so price-shopping gains less.

If you prioritise budget, start with Attraction passes and Observation decks; if you want flexibility and variety, Tours give the widest choice. Consider mid-range options like Massages and Zoos & aquariums when you want predictable pricing and fewer variations in what's offered.

When travellers from Australia book

Most travellers book at the last minute: the typical lead time is 0 days ahead, while the earliest planners book about 1 day ahead. Plan on booking close to your visit rather than months in advance, and give yourself a little cushion for trips in November when demand is at its peak.

How prices compare

The table shows how Jakarta’s top categories compare on price so you can set a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Observation decks AUD 10 AUD 9 – 12
Zoos & aquariums AUD 15 AUD 12 – 16
Attraction passes AUD 3 AUD 3 – 3
Massages AUD 25 AUD 16 – 34
Tours AUD 82 AUD 54 – 116

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
