Ponte Vecchio

The Ponte Vecchio is one of the most famous bridges in Florence, and when you visit, you'll walk across this iconic bridge full of history, medieval buildings, and sparkling jewelry shops. The bridge consists of three arches and was built in 1345 by Taddeo Gaddi, replacing older versions from Roman times. Long ago, butcher shops lined the bridge, but the Medici family replaced all the shops with wooden shutters, goldsmiths, and jewelers to clean up the area. As you explore, look up to see the Vasari Corridor, a secret walkway the Medici used to move between Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. In World War II, it was the only bridge the Nazis didn’t destroy. In the middle, you’ll find a statue of Benvenuto Cellini, where you can leave a love lock like many tourists do—another reason to experience the charm of the Ponte Vecchio for yourself. Visit Ponte Vecchio to walk through history, enjoy the views, and create your special moment in Florence!

Great fun making pasta and gelato from scratch. Very clear instructions from the instructor so don't worry even if you do not have much cooking experience.

Great 4.0
Registration was swift, you’re already reassigned your working group so no time is wasted to form your ownself. Chef James is very passionate to share his knowledge, and took on our questions candidly and also offered tips to better your pizza making. He went round to ensure people are doing it correctly. They were not stingy to allow you to put lots of ingredients on your pizza. We were given options for our gelato flavour, and got to try it pre and post to understand the taste change after it turned into a gelato. Comfortable setting to hold the class

Fantastic 5.0
Noemí was our instructor and she did a fantastic job. The class was fun and relaxed, and the food was really good but it felt like a long wait to eat since we got up very early to go to the market and cooked four courses before we got to eat anything. One piece of constructive criticism would be to have a sign at the meet up spot for people to know where to find you. We had to ask around before finding the correct group.

Fantastic 5.0
This isn't your typical European accommodation, but a hotel with a very hip vibe. At first, I thought the location was ambiguous, but you can take the tram from Florence Station to right in front of the hotel, and especially, bus number 12 goes directly to Piazzale Michelangelo! As for the Duomo or Ponte Vecchio, you can cover Florence's tourist attractions on foot anyway. Other than that, the facilities and services were all excellent! In particular, the rooftop view offers a view that makes the price worthwhile. I recommend it to young couples or honeymooners.

Great 4.0
The hotel is generally good, with excellent cleanliness. It was comfortable enough for a three-night stay. The room has a kettle and water glasses. The bathroom amenities are similar to those found in typical European hotels, with the same bottle used for shampoo and body wash. The most commendable thing is the showerhead's super strong water pressure, which is very effective, and the hot water doesn't require any waiting! The hotel is a convenient 5-10 minute walk from the central station. Be careful when going in and out of the station area at night. You need a key card to enter and exit the hotel at night, so the security is also okay!

I would highly recommend C Diplomat in Florence. Located just outside the Santa Maria Novella Station , the hotel is the most convenient place to stay if you are travelling by train to Florence. Room is clean ,with very nice interior. Bathroom is sparkling clean. Receptionist Gabrielle is most helpful. breakfast buffet is simply great with variety of choices. Will definitely stay here again if I will go back to Florence.

Got ourselves a 7-day Global Pass and travelled through 5 countries. Buying the pass was easy but how to use the app for activating the pass will need some time to learn. However, fear not as there are many experienced people out willing to share. Do some readings and join some fb travel groups and you will surprised by the information available. The pass was flexible but the train schedule can be unpredictable which means you need to be updated requently to stay on course of your journey. We only experienced one hicccup on one of the trips at Berlin due to seat reservation issue and missing the connecting train due to delay of the first train. The other trips were as planned.
