Like Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love, you can experience spiritual healing at Ubud, Bali. The Mengening Water Temple is an important, holy site that’s used by locals and tourists during a purification ritual to cleanse one’s soul from evil. To take part in this sacred ceremony, you’ll be wrapped in a sarong, and a Hindu priest will guide you into the cool springs.
Bonus: When you book a temple tour with Klook, you also get to bask in the beauty of Tegallalang Rice Terraces, a can’t-miss UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ubud, Bali. The tour includes roundtrip transfers, so you can enjoy hassle-free travel!

    2. Dig deep into the past at Pura Gunung Kawi

Long ago, back in 11th century Bali, big temples and houses were carved out into the rocks. Today, it stands as a testament against time. Pura Gunung Kawi is an archaeological site surrounded by rice paddies. In this ancient place, you’ll discover the “Valley of the Kings,” a temple complex laden with 12-metre tall monuments of past kings, and truckloads of secret paths waiting to be explored.

    3. Meet Bali’s most playful residents at the Ubud Monkey Forest

One of the more touristy things to do is meet the cheekiest primates on the island. Inside the Ubud Monkey Forest, over 700 long-tailed macaques freely roam the jungle, swinging, eating, and doing their monkey business. Catch their funny antics and keep the whole fam entertained for hours!
Heads up: Ubud monkeys are known for their intelligence, but they’re not the nicest bunch. There’s a good chance you’ll end up being robbed of your shades, drinks, and other random trinkets they might find, so beware!

    4. Go on a cave tubing adventure

Go down the river in the most thrilling way: by cruising in a tub! Perfect for adventurous wanderers, cave tubing is a great way to sightsee as you challenge the river rapids of Pakerisan River and swim along the caves ‘til you reach the picturesque Tegallalang Village. You can go in groups of five—or if you’re feeling brave, solo’s the way to go!

    5. Take a big leap at Alas Harum
