Lovina Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling Tour in Bali

วิวทิวทัศน์บนเรือ: One of the most unforgettable experiences from my Bali trip was dolphin watching combined with snorkeling 🐬🌊 We left our hotel before sunrise and headed out to the open sea while it was still dark. The atmosphere was incredibly calm and peaceful. As the sun slowly rose, golden light reflected across the water—absolutely stunning. Then suddenly, dolphins started appearing one by one… and soon, a whole pod was swimming right in front of us. Seeing them up close like that was truly magical and exciting. After dolphin watching, we continued to a snorkeling spot. The water was crystal clear, and we could easily see colorful fish and coral reefs beneath us. Even if you’re not a strong swimmer, it’s very beginner-friendly since life jackets are provided. It’s a relaxing activity but still full of natural beauty.

January 1, 2026, for 2 people. Meet at 3:30 AM at the Ubud accommodation and depart. Arrive at 6 AM and wait about 10 minutes before boarding the boat. If dolphins are spotted, all the captains follow them. You have to hope the dolphins pass by your boat. Fortunately, they passed by our boat twice. Snorkeling time is from 8 AM, but it only lasts for 1 hour ㅠ. It was the rainy season, but the sea was clear. The captain sprinkled breadcrumbs, so we saw a lot of fish. The toilet and shower are combined, and the cleanliness isn't great as it's only water cleaning. 5k per person, no time limit. Moving for about 30 minutes to Gitgit Waterfall, it's not really necessary to add it. The driver will guide you to the entrance, and you have to look around on your own.

Let's get straight to the point: the dolphin watching tour was an experience that exceeded all expectations! At 3:30 AM, our driver (whose service was excellent throughout the trip, highly recommend 👍) was already waiting in the lobby of our Ubud hotel. After a two-hour drive, we arrived at Lovina Beach just as dawn was breaking, and we were on the outrigger boat before sunrise. As we set off, a beautiful, swan-shaped cloud accompanied us, which was absolutely stunning. I didn't have high hopes when we got into the water, but when we encountered the dolphins in the sea, and they swam right by us and leaped out of the water, the feeling was... indescribable! You won't regret it! If you're a strong swimmer and have good stamina, you might consider the "Swim with Dolphins" option (this is not a recommendation; please choose a suitable activity based on your personal condition and ensuring your safety). It's a completely different experience from what you see from the boat 👍👍👍

This was the most satisfying activity I did in Bali. 🤍 I was so lucky to see so many dolphins and even swim with them! I brought my own snorkeling gear just in case, but the equipment provided on the boat was also very clean, which was great. Haha. Hanging onto the boat requires a lot more arm strength than I expected, so if you have weak arms, I recommend just watching. There were also jellyfish, and I got stung a bit on my arms and legs, so it might be a good idea to bring some ointment with you. Haha. Just a heads-up, I didn't receive a call until 5-6 PM the day before, so I called and was worried with the Klook consultant, but they finally contacted me around 6:30 PM. Haha.

It's an unforgettable experience. The dolphins are so cute! We were so lucky to see them up close that we went two days in a row. If you have a good, experienced guide, it's much easier to find the dolphins. You have to wake up early, but seeing the sunrise is the best part. I loved it and want to go again. The price was also great. However, you have to arrange your own transportation. Finding a hotel within walking distance would be ideal. You can go alone and join other tourists.

We had Kadek Sugiarta from Billy's team as our guide, and he made our trip truly memorable. He contacted us in advance, guided us well throughout the journey, provided water bottles, and was always polite and respectful. He is also an excellent driver. At Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, we arrived a bit late, but Kadek waited patiently. He even got in line for the tickets himself while making sure we were seated comfortably. Small gestures like these really made our experience so much better. The dolphin watching and snorkeling experience was unforgettable. We were able to see many dolphins in their natural habitat—it’s nothing like watching them in a zoo. Chasing them in the open sea was thrilling, and all the boat staff were amazing and supportive. My wife doesn’t know how to swim, but with their help, she felt safe and was able to enjoy snorkeling comfortably. Overall, everything was well-organized, safe, and enjoyable. I highly recommend Kadek and Billy’s team for anyone visiting Bali!

Our driver Juna picked me up at the hotel promptly at 3:30 in the early morning. He never rushed me and waited patiently. Juna drives smoothly, and he is friendly, gentle and smart. He speaks excellent English. We had a great communication. Juna will help you with any issues you have! Our captain is also very experienced. We got extremely close to the dolphins jumping. If you are not good at swimming, the captain will patiently assist you with snorkeling. All in all, the trip is totally worthwhile. Highly recommended!

Overall, the trip was fantastic. Ah Liang, our Mandarin-speaking driver and local guide, was very chatty. Watching the sunrise and chasing dolphins were unforgettable experiences that left us with wonderful memories. Jiji Waterfall was especially magnificent, with its abundant and clear water, making it a perfect spot for rejuvenating your mind, body, and soul.

Amazing experience swimming with dolphins at Lovina Beach! We stayed in Canggu and had a 2hour drive to Lovina but it was totally worth it. Big thanks to Pak Agus for making the trip so smooth. He contacted us a day before, picked us up from the hotel at 3:30am and was very friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout the day. Highly recommended. No regrets booking this tour!
