    1. Nankai Line Rapi:t Airport Express

    Nankai Rapi:t Airport Express
    Nankai Rapi:t Airport Express
The Nankai Line Rapi:t Airport Express is a premium express train service connecting Kansai International Airport with Namba Station in the heart of Osaka. It is designed with the traveler's comfort in mind: featuring plush seating, ample legroom, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, dedicated luggage storage space, and even multi-language support for non-Japanese speakers.
    Osaka Nankai Airport Express Seats
It’s no surprise that it’s such a popular choice for travelers seeking a fast and comfortable transit option to and from the airport. Advanced reservations can be made for designated seating, ensuring a stress-free trip, especially during peak travel times. The fare for the Rapi:t service is higher than that of the standard Airport Express, but it offers a premium experience that justifies the cost. The journey from Kansai Airport to Namba Station takes only 34 minutes, making it one of the fastest options available for completing this route.
Note that there are two different Rapi:t services: Rapi:t α and Rapi:t β, which have different stops. However, most trains are of the Rapi:t β type, which has two extra stops at Kishiwada and Sakai and also takes 3 minutes longer to reach Namba Station.

The Nankai Line Airport Express trains make fewer stops than local services, providing a quicker option for passengers without the premium cost of limited express services like the Rapi:t. The journey between the airport and Namba station, one of Osaka's main transport and entertainment hubs, is smooth and scenic, typically taking less than 45 minutes.
Seats are readily available on the Nankai Line Airport Express when boarding at either Namba Station or Kansai Airport Station since these stations serve as the starting points for the journey. Nonetheless, the train can become quite crowded during busy times, and it doesn’t have designated luggage storage spaces, making it difficult to use for large groups and if you have a lot of luggage.
If you already have an ICOCA card, you can just use it to enter the station directly without having to buy a separate ticket. Remember to reload your ICOCA card as a one-way trip costs around ¥970!
