ESCAPE Penang unveils exciting new attractions, again
Penang's ESCAPE Theme Park has upped its game once again. Besides being home to the world's longest tube water slide that spans an incredible length of 1,111m, the theme park unveiled the longest zip coaster in the world mid this year. Few months later just yesterday, they've pulled the curtains to launch two more exciting new attractions in conjunction with the theme park's exciting 10th anniversary celebrations!
Say hello to the first ski park and dead sea pool in Malaysia
Time to train yourself for a future ski adventure through the slopes of the majestic Swiss Alps! ESCAPE Penang unveiled the first ski slope in Malaysia just this week. While there's no snow and no need to whip out your winter jacket here, the specially built dry ski slope still offers a fun taste of skiing and snowboarding before you fly out for the real thing. ⛷
The 302-metre-long ski slope in ESCAPE Penang consists of two sections - one suited for beginners (with a mostly straight slope and just one basic curve) and another for more experienced or adventurous skiers (you can expect a steeper incline and more challenging curves at this one). So even if you're a complete beginner, you'll have plenty of space to take your time and learn the ropes! Chances are you'll get the hang of it after falling a few times. *winks*
P/s: the ski park is lined with water sprinklers that keep the slopes wet and conducive for skiing - you can close one eye and pretend the water is snow! It looks kinda legit on photos as well (see picture above).
Besides the new ski park, another fresh addition to the theme park is a dead sea pool which takes inspiration from the famous Salt Lake in Jordan. Unlike normal chlorine-filled pools, dead sea pools are filled with mineral-rich water that not only promise a fun time but are also said to typically offer relaxation and natural health benefits. ✨ The new dead sea pool at ESCAPE Penang is 4 metres deep and filled with saltwater that will allow you to float naturally even if you don't know how to swim.
Klook Tip: Googles are provided here to keep your eyes from stinging, so make sure to put them on firmly. Also a gentle reminder to parents: keep a close eye on your little ones as they play here!
Excited to check ESCAPE Penang out?
ESCAPE Theme Park Penang was inspired by the founder's mischievous childhood in his kampong, where he spent most of his days climbing trees, diving into the pond from a treetop, and racing downhill with his friends on makeshift bicycles.
The theme park strives to provide kids and adults with the most natural form of fun and adventure - visitors can spend hours exploring over 30 thrilling activities including ziplining, water slides, rope courses, rock climbing, and more, all magically fit in one space. If someone tells you Penang has only char kuey teow and cendol, don't believe them.
