    Here are the zoos you have to visit this school holidays:

    1. WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo

    Next up on the list of zoos in Sydney is WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, located at the heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbor. This zoo is home to Australia's “big five” native animals—the kangaroo, koala, Tasmanian devil, quokka, and echidna.
    They have various attractions such as the Kangaroo Walkabout, Devil's Den, Gumtree Valley, Wallaby Cliffs, Kakadu Gorge and Nightfall. You won’t just marvel at the sight of magnificent creatures, but you’ll also learn about some species’ endangerment.

    Meet Rocky, the huge saltwater crocodile found in Kakadu Gorge as well as Topsy and Bub, two of the endangered Tasmanian devils in the Devil’s Den. For a little thrill, you can also meet tiger snakes and brown snakes —two of the most venomous snakes in the world!

    2. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

    To quote Sebastian from the Little Mermaid—darling it’s better down where it’s wetter. Explore life under the sea at SEA LIFE Aquarium where over 13,000 marine animals reside. Its assortment of aquariums and attractions will make you feel like you’re underwater yourself!
    One of its most famous attractions is the Shark Walk and Valley where you can walk through a tunnel aquarium with all the sharks swimming around and above you. Fun fact—SEA LIFE Sydney has the largest number of sharks compared to any other aquarium in the world!

    Its newest attraction, the Day & Night Reef, lets you explore the Great Barrier Reef and takes you through the 24-hour cycle of sea creatures in the reef. This attraction uses state of the art technology to offer an interactive experience like no other. 

    3. Symbio Wildlife Park

    Cheetas, red pandas, ring-tailed lemurs, meerkats and 'roos await you and the little ones in Symbio Wildlife Park comprised of 16 acres of manicured gardens, complete with picnic areas, large playgrounds with shady trees perfect for that day trip as it's located just 1 hour South of Sydney, just past the Royal National Park.
    Let the kids get up close to, and pet sheep and goats, as well as guinea pigs, chickens and ducks!

    4. Sydney Zoo

    Up to see some giraffes, dingos, wombats, chimpanzees, penguins, and other exotic and native Australian animals? It's time you pay a visit to Sydney Zoo, located at the heart of Western Sydney. It prides itself on its more immersive and engaging experience than traditional zoos.

    5. Taronga Zoo

    Taronga Zoo needs no introduction - situated amongst lush bushland and boasting stunning views overlooking Sydney Harbour, it is definitely a zoo you won't want to miss! Taronga Zoo is home to over 5,000 animals from 350 species with a Sky Safari cable car which takes you high above the zoo grounds giving you bird’s-eye views of Sydney Harbour and the many zoo inhabitants below.
    Only a short 12 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay, your entry ticket includes an iconic Seals for the Wild show as well as a Free-Flight bird presentations and plenty of keeper talks throughout the day.

    6. Oakvale Wildlife Park (Port Stephens)

    Visit Oakvale for the ultimate hands-on wildlife and water park, set on 25 acres of open natural bushland! There is plenty of space for everyone, and you can meet up to 100 different species.

    7. Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary (Central Coast)

    Home to rescued and unreleasable wildlife, Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to get up close with friendly animals. Just an hour's drive from Sydney, you can meet and feed goats, alpacas, bunnies, and guinea pigs in the petting zoo, and pat the friendly free-ranging kangaroos. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to snap a Kangaroo selfie to step up your Insta game! 
    Don’t forget there are koalas, wombats, dingoes, emus, cockatoos, pythons, and even meerkats to meet too, or you can join in with the ranger-led activities throughout the day. With Walkabout being set on 80 acres of Heritage Listed land, make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as you adventure to special Aboriginal cultural sites and spot the free-roaming animals.
    If picnics are your thing, there’s heaps of places for you to spread out and be safe. Or there’s a kiosk that sells snacks and ready-to-go sandwiches and pies - yummo!
