    Yearning for a quick getaway? Well, it's time to explore the idyllic municipality of Nasugbu, Batangas. With only a two to three-hour drive from Manila, you can already take a breath of fresh air in this peaceful town, away from the busy-ness of the city. 
    A known scuba diving spot in the Philippines, Nasugbu, Batangas is home to a number of pristine beaches. Yet aside from the rich marine life, this sleepy town is also thriving with natural land resources like mountains, hills and farmlands. There's just so much to see and do at Nasugbu, Batangas so if you're thinking of traveling there for a quick getaway, don't forget to check out these local attractions.

    1. Mt. Batulao 

    Connect with nature as you hike up Mt. Batulao in Nasugbu, Batangas. Don't worry if you are a newbie at hiking as Mt. Batulao is a beginner-friendly trail. It may take you two to three hours to reach the summit but it is so worth it. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Batangas from the peak as you feel the warm breeze on your skin.

    2. Mt. Talamitan 

    If you want to go for a more laid-back trek, you can opt for Mt. Batulao's "younger sibling" Mt. Talamitan. Also located in Nasugbu, Batangas, the trail is ideal for hiking beginners. It even has open grasslands where you can spot some farm animals. Just a piece of advice, it's recommended to begin your hike in the early morning to avoid the prickling heat of the sun, especially during the afternoon.

    3. Fortune Island 

    Feel as if you have traveled all the way to Greece at the picturesque Fortune Island, located on the coast of Nasugbu, Batangas beach. A perfect backdrop, take photos before the Greek-inspired ruins and the stunning blue sea. Swim, snorkel and cliff dive at this Insta-worthy island that was once an abandoned resort. You can also rent cottages and tents here in case you want to camp overnight.

    4. Bituin Cove

    If you are looking for an unspoiled Nasugbu, Batangas beach to camp in, then you can consider the Bituin Cove. With beige coarse sands, this beach has a thriving marine life. Tents and open cottages are also available for rent, in case you'd like to camp under the stars at Bituin Cove.

    5. Punta Fuego 

    Another captivating Nasugbu, Batangas beach, Punta Fuego boasts of white sands and clear waters. It was also a historical site for it witnessed the Battle of San Diego by the Spanish and Dutch soldiers during the 1600s. Today, upscale companies are managing the enclave such as Club Punta Fuego. Some of the activities that you can do here include snorkeling, wakeboarding, and banana boating, among others. You can also play golf and rejuvenate the senses at their resident spa.

    6. Calayo Beach 

    If you prefer to go to an underrated Nasugbu, Batangas beach, then Calayo Beach is the place to be. Relax as you experience the enticing simplicity of rural life. Lounge on its fine light brown sands while watching the sunset. Take a breather in this tranquil setting surrounded by lush greeneries as well.

    7. Kainan sa Dalampasigan 

    Relish in delicious local cuisine at the famous Kainan sa Dalampasigan in Nasugbu, Batangas. Feel at home in this traditional restaurant surrounded by blooming flowers and plants. Some of their must-try dishes include the Lengua, Ginataang Alimasag, Baked Tahong, Garlic Fried Shrimps, Lechon Kawali, and Daing na Bangus, among others.

    8. Bayani's Lomi House & Restaurant

    Have you tried authentic Batangas Lomi? If you haven't yet, then you should not skip on visiting this restaurant in Nasugbu, Batangas. Dive into their overflowing and overloaded Lomi that has fried liempo, kwek-kwek, and lumpiang shanghai, among other ingredients. Whoa!
