What to expect
Travel to rural Chishang and explore this charming township in the heart of Taitung! From your hotel, your journey begins at a long stretch of road called Brown Boulevard. Here you will be provided with a bicycle to ride and get a view of endless lush green rice fields on either side. The road got its name from an old ad that was filmed here by Taiwanese coffee brand Mr Brown. A more recent ad was shot here, this time by airline EVA Air who got famous actor Takeshi Kaneshiro to cycle along Brown Boulevard and stop under a picture-perfect tree to drink tea. Next you will head east to Paradise Road, an inland freshwater swamp home to numerous species of aquatic plants, birds, frogs and fresh water fish and shrimp. Right in time for lunch, your guide will bring you to the Chishang Lunchbox Museum to learn about the bento dining culture of Taiwan and have a chance to taste an authentic bento meal. On the way to the tour’s last stop, you will pass by Wuling Green Tunnel, which is formed with camphor and beefwood trees lining along the provincial highway. Finally, your adventure concludes with a trek up Luye Tea Hill for a scenic view of vast plantations growing Taiwan’s high quality teas.

Disposable ponchos were provided so that was a plus. Though it would have been great if there were clearer signages of the various attractions within the boulevard.
This trip was excellent as the driver, who held two roles, could explain the attractions and places and what to look out for when exploring. The Brown Boulevard, when exploring, was a fun time cycling. It's worth having more time cycling around to see or rent the electric 4-wheel bicycle to explore the area. I wish there would be more time to spend at the Lu Ye. The greenery and the landscape are nice views and relaxing. The guide is excellent for his knowledge and time estimation at each stop, humorous and friendly. Worth the visit!

Director Ross is funny and friendly. The itinerary was very good. Brown Avenue has beautiful scenery and is easy to explore by driving an electric car. You can see all the check-in points in one go. Like👍

We enjoy the experience at Lu Ye. Our tour guide Mr Luo is very nice and helpful. He rode the electric bicycle at Lu Ye so that we can explore Lu Ye. He helped us took photos at Lu Ye. I like the greenery paddy fields at Lu Ye. I also enjoy the trip to the temple and the old train station. We are lucky that it was a sunny day throughout the day tour. Our tour group makes up a small group of 4.
