The ⁠Shanghai Maglev connects Pudong International Airport to Longyang Road in just 8 minutes. It is the world’s fastest commercial train, reaching speeds up to 431km/h. It offers an incredibly smooth, futuristic ride, though tickets are a premium and it requires a transfer to reach downtown.

Convenient for getting into the city because it saves time. However, tickets purchased from Klook need to be exchanged for a physical ticket, and this cannot be done at the automated machines. You need to go to the regular ticket counter with staff, which takes time waiting in line.

It only takes 7 minutes from Longyang Road to the airport, saving a lot of time. The speed reaches 310km/hr. Buy and use immediately on Klook, very convenient.

It's very simple to exchange for the ticket. In just a few minutes, you can reach the center of Shanghai. Definitely saves a ton of time.

It takes only 8 minutes, speed over 300 km/h. However, the distance is a bit short. If you have plenty of time, take the Metro instead, it's much cheaper. It closes at 9:40 p.m. Be careful.

Super easy to pickup. I prob could've used the self serve machines but went to the desk she scanned it and ticket given. Easy. 8min journey instead of 60 min metro.  Just be aware it starts at 702am. I landed early at 4am so was a bit of a wait. Could've got metro at 6but longer journey.  Free hot and cold water available on the walk to it from arrivals

Redeeming the ticket was quick and easy! The QR code was scanned and I was given a ticket to access the platform. The staff on site was very accommodating. He didn’t mind me taking photos inside the terminal and even pointed out where the train would arrive so I could capture a video. It was a unique, convenient, and a quick way to get to the airport!

However, keep in mind that the Maglev only connects the airport to Longyang Road Station, so you’ll still need to transfer to the metro or taxi afterward. Overall, it’s a great way to save time, experience advanced technology, and start your Shanghai trip in an exciting way. Highly recommended for anyone who values speed and convenience.
