Osaka Museum of History Ticket

There are quite a lot of things to see in the museum. If you like history, this is the place to go. There is an activity center suitable for family and children as well. If you are a foreign tourist with children, bring along the student ID if you select student tickets.

It is a 4-min walk rom the Osaka Castle and can be visited together. Redeem your tickets at the entrance and take the elevator to the 10th floor. From there work your way down to each subsequent floor via escalators. Each floor has a unique exhibition showcasing the history of Osaka right from 300AD. Amazing museum.

The Osaka Museum is just near Osaka Castle so we went here after our tour of the latter. It’s quite a walk going there though. I expected the museum to be bigger but it was like the usual. You start at the topmost floor going down. It was fun. There wasn’t that much people. You could spend about 1-2 hours here. The information center doesn’t speak that much English though.

Museum is nice with the exhibition where get to learn abt the history of Osaka. Like those miniature model of the old Osaka town.

amazing history of Osaka! From a very simple to modern City! You can see that Japanese really love their country because they collected their valuable artifacts! I will go back here for sure!

Osaka Castle is a landmark building in Osaka and a witness to Japanese history. It was built in 1583, and the existing building is a concrete structure rebuilt in 1931. The castle tower has five floors on the outside and eight floors on the inside, and is 55 meters high. The golden animal head tiles on the roof and the crouching tiger under the brothel are dazzling. Its white walls are matched with green roof tiles, and the golden dragon shape at the end of the eaves is even more magnificent. The interior has been transformed into a museum, displaying historical materials of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the Warring States Period. Each floor has a wealth of exhibits, such as armor, swords, screen paintings, etc., and there are also experience activities to try on Warring States costumes. The top floor observation deck overlooks the city of Osaka. However, taking photos is prohibited on the third and fourth floors. In spring and autumn, cherry blossoms and maple leaves add a romantic touch to the castle tower. In addition, the night view of the castle tower is also very charming and has been selected as the "Japanese Night View Heritage". In short, Osaka Castle is not only a magnificent building, but also carries a rich history and culture. It is a must-see attraction for Osaka trips.

A hidden treasure in my opinion! A must visit spot if you love museum plus you can get a few hours with the ac in the heat. The museum has 10 floors but the bottom half isn’t open for viewing! You can view antiques, learn some history and the museum has some interactive activities ( like colouring, puzzle pieces, sticking together broken pottery etc)! Only a few people visited when we went during summer holidays so if you like places with less people and you like educational activities; this museum is perfect for you!

Totally worthy! The dioramas and other exhibit are sooo good! This is a very nice way to discover the history and culture of Osaka.
