It’s a very beautiful journey! My boyfriend and I were from Taiwan. We can understand about English, but not that fluent. Our tour guide, Drew, really took good care of us. Other people were nice to us too! I love the chocolate so much. That’s too bad we can’t buy the chocolate away. Anyway! Find Drew is your best choice~ From Taiwan.
I absolutely loved this Hunter Valley wine tasting day tour! Although it was a bit pricey, I felt it offered a lot of value. The first stop was a winery where we tasted six different wines, including red, white, and sparkling. The second stop was for lunch, and we enjoyed various delicious pizzas, along with three types of gin. At the third stop, we sampled three kinds of cheese, paired with several red and white wines. The fourth stop was a chocolate shop, where we tried six different chocolates, each paired with a different wine. A special thank you to our tour guide and driver, Colin (I'm not sure if I spelled his name correctly), for leading us in such a comfortable manner. He gave us plenty of space to relax in the car without being overly talkative, and provided excellent guidance once we arrived at the estates. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this to my Taiwanese friends who are considering it. But be careful! You might actually get drunk. 😆
Tour guide: Our tour guide, Dave (or Drew), was enthusiastic throughout the trip, introducing us to the Hunter Valley and Sydney's city culture, and also took great care of us. Itinerary: We visited 4 wineries, spending 45 minutes to 1 hour at each winery. Afterwards, we would get on the bus to go to another winery, which allowed me to catch up on sleep on the bus before continuing to drink 😆. Each winery offered tastings of 4-6 types of red and white wine. This time, one winery in particular offered gin tasting, which was a new and special experience. The only drawback of the trip was that I thought I could experience the winemaking process; it would have been perfect if there was this element. Meals: A pizza meal is provided, where you can try different flavors. The two wineries we visited in the afternoon were paired with cheese and chocolate to accompany the red and white wine tastings, which tasted quite good. It's a pity that the chocolate was not for sale🤣. Drinks: You will try more than 20 types of red and white wine throughout the day. You will be slightly drunk after drinking the whole trip. If you are not a good drinker, don't force yourself🤣. Value for money: Overall, it is very worthwhile for everyone to go 🙆🏻♂️. If you love red and white wine, you can't miss this experience.
had a blast with this tour! i forgot a shopping bag in my bus, and just remembered it the day after. wine amnesia is real. lol but after I reached out to my tour operator, they sent it to my hotel hassle free. appreciate it so much! will definitely do it again when i travel back
The wine was amazing and there was a guide to drive you from place to place which was very informative and practical for the purposes of drinking. The different wineries were mostly family owned and they were knowledgeable on their wines.
Relaxing tour that comprised of 3 wineries. First is a winery for you to sample ard 6 types of wine. 2nd place is a place with chocolate and wine. 3rd place is cheese and biscuit paired with wine. Fantastic for wine lovers. For lunch, they do have one vegetarian option (pasta).
Chris was an outstanding tour guide during our recent visit to the Hunter Valley. From the moment he picked us up, his enthusiastic and knowledgeable nature shone through. He clearly has a deep passion for the region and was able to provide fascinating insights into the history, culture, and winemaking of the area. Throughout the tour, Chris went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. He tailored the itinerary to our interests, taking us to some hidden gem wineries that offered unique tasting experiences. His friendly and personable demeanor made the whole day feel more like spending time with a knowledgeable friend rather than a standard tour. The logistics of the tour were also impeccably handled - transportation was comfortable, the timing between stops was well-paced, and Chris was attentive to our needs at every turn. We left the Hunter Valley with wonderful memories thanks to Chris' excellent stewardship. I would not hesitate to book another tour with him in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the region.
I went on the tour by myself and really enjoyed it because it was very well organised! The weather was great and I drank a lot, so that's a good memory too. I also met some other people who were on the tour alone, which was great because we could all chat.
for a solo traveler like me, joining tour is highly recommended. you got to experience meeting new people and enjoy the whole experience. this tour is well curated and i like how it gives chance to small winery/cellar owners to promoter their business. the experience is very organic and that’s how it became unique among the usual tours that i booked. i never thought i could spend a day tour with a jampacked itinerary but i was surprised that nothing was missed at the same time we get back to the city on time. its really a wonderful experience.
It was a super fun and nice experience with our tour guide Karen! I accidentally booked the wrong date and found out at the last minute; however, she still help us to check with another colleague and put Mom and I in another car🥺She was so nice, helpful, and friendly! Moreover, this tour is offered by a travel agency called Dave’s. You can taste so manny different kinds of wines, gins, and whiskey, and make your own notes. It’s easy to get drunk, so be careful! Last but not least, the view is sooo beautiful! Overall, this is a highly recommended itinerary that you shouldn’t miss it!
