Tashan Tourism Scenic Area

Tashan Mountain is located in the southeast of Yantai city, and is a national AAAA-level scenic spot. It is named after a pagoda built on its main peak in earlier years (the Sanhe Pagoda, now rebuilt), and is a famous tourist attraction in Yantai. Here, the natural scenery is beautiful. You can go up the mountain to visit the centuries-old Taiping Temple (a Quanzhen Taoist temple that integrates "Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism"), or climb the Sanhe Pagoda at the top of the mountain to overlook the city scenery. Tashan Mountain is not very high (the main peak is about 397 meters above sea level), and the stone steps up the mountain are not difficult to walk. You can also take the ropeway to the top of the mountain. The modern entertainment area at the foot of the mountain has entertainment facilities such as roller coasters, bumper cars, carousels, and small trains, as well as venues like the National Defense Education Museum, the Small Animal Village, the Earthquake Science Museum, and a 4D cinema.
