Shunnavi was a patient and friendly guide, with plenty of experience. He was punctual and had great knowledge of Koyasan. He also recommended lunch for us which was a great recommendation. He even bought snacks for us.hope can join his tour next trip.

Google said 30 mins to get to the pick-up point, we gave ourselves 1 & 1/2 hours and still only arrived 5 mins before leaving time. Yes, it was rush hour at 6 am - just give yourself ample time! We may have gotten lost at Tokyo station lol! It was an awesome tour! 🥰❤️

The Koyasan Hidden Gems tour is a must-do activity when visiting Osaka, and I highly recommend it. The meeting point was convenient, and our guide and driver, Hanazawa, was very thoughtful. He had prepared AI-translated Chinese and English explanations about Koyasan and the origins of each attraction, which he played for us before we arrived at each site. This allowed us to have some background knowledge before our visit. Our trip was on a weekday, so there were very few tourists, making it a comfortable and peaceful experience. For lunch, we tried shojin ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine); I didn't particularly love it, but it was worth trying. The visit to Seijin-in Temple was the icing on the cake. After completing the Okunoin tour, Hanazawa even prepared afternoon tea and green tea for each of us, which was incredibly considerate. We were very satisfied with the day's itinerary.

This was like an education field trip, I absolutely loved it. First of all, we were only a small group, it is always easier to tour with a smaller group. Our guide, Ms Junko was so nice and knowledgeable. She really came in prepared to share information about Kukai and the Isoteric Buddhism. Our driver, Mr. Ishida was just an absolute peach so friendly and funny! Mt. Koya was stunning and the fall foliage was just wow! The orange picking was also a good experience, the interns there were so nice and friendly.

We had an excellent Kyoto–Nara private tour booked through Klook. Everything was smooth from start to finish, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Our driver was truly incredible—professional, punctual, and very courteous throughout the entire trip. He made us feel comfortable and ensured we had a stress-free and enjoyable journey. His knowledge of the routes and flexibility with our schedule really made a difference. The tour itself was well-organized, allowing us to explore Kyoto and Nara at our own pace without feeling rushed. It was the perfect way to experience these beautiful places. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a convenient and memorable trip. We would definitely book again!

It rained that day, but it didn't affect the itinerary or the experience. There were 10 people in the group: 8 foreigners and 2 from Hong Kong/Macau. We traveled in a 14-seater mini-bus with excellent air conditioning. Our guide and driver, Yan Lei, was very responsible and attentive. He could introduce the attractions using simple English and detailed Mandarin, and there were also recorded explanations played on the bus. He led us to multiple attractions on foot along the way. He not only prepared umbrellas but also snacks and tea. Entry to the main pagoda and the Kondo (Golden Hall) each cost JPY 500 for worship. Kongobuji Temple (JPY 1000) features a rock garden and paintings on the interior walls. Personally, I recommend spending more time at the Reihokan Museum (JPY 1300), which exhibits cultural artifacts and Buddhist statues; the table mandala souvenir there is quite unique. There are several restaurants nearby offering shojin ryori (vegetarian Buddhist cuisine), but be mindful of your time. In the afternoon, we attended a free Goma prayer ceremony led by monks. You can write wishes on wooden sticks for good fortune (JPY 1000) and then cast them into the sacred fire. The path through Okunoin to Kobo Daishi's mausoleum is lined with ancient trees and cemeteries. The drive involves many winding mountain roads, so those prone to motion sickness should be aware.

Driver was also our guide as there were only four in group. He provided excellent service n organized the timing of each location well. By extending the time at Tore tore market, he allowed us to comfortably take lunch n shop at the market. The whole tour went smoothly n we had enough time at each stop to view n take photos. The return journey to Osaka was also smooth without any traffic jam.
