Things to do in Bai Chay Beach

Wonderful day trip. It was a long day due to travel time there and back, but it was worth it. We had a great guide, and the transportation was well-organized and comfortable. The boat was excellent, with lunch, kayaking, swimming, and beautiful surroundings. The golf cart ride across the island to the cave and museum was also a lot of fun. It was nice that it was small-scale and not overly touristy.

Due to the storm, our tour was rescheduled for a few days later. The tour itself was wonderful. The children were absolutely delighted and wanted to go again. We also really liked our guide, Tinh. Special thanks to him for taking beautiful photos of our entire family.

Our guide, Vincent (looks like a monkey - his words, not mine), was truly a fantastic guide. He showed us around and you cannot get lost as he had his big capybara stick to show where he is. Vincent had a really good grasp of the history and threw in some good jokes. The tour itself was great and I believe it was mainly aided by Vincent and his warm welcome and approach to each and every person on the tour. Tour was fantastic, was able to do everything we wanted at Ha Long Bay, the food was surprisingly good for a buffet and a great drinks selection on offer.

The trip was great, had an enthusiastic guide Henry who kept the energy levels high throughout the trip. 2nd stop was kayaking or bamboo boat tour. I recommend bamboo boat as its safer. A kayak turned upside down in front of us, thankfully no one was hurt. Overall recommend this day tour.

A day trip to Ha Long Bay truly lives up to its reputation as "Guilin on the Sea"! 🌊 We departed from Hanoi in the morning, and the drive was about 2.5 hours. Although it was a bit far, seeing the emerald green water and thousands of limestone islands made it all worthwhile. Cruising among the islands felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. For lunch, we enjoyed a seafood meal on the boat; the food was decent, but dining with the sea breeze was incredibly pleasant. The biggest highlights were kayaking and exploring the caves, where the water was so clear you could see the bottom. We climbed over 400 steps on Ti Top Island, and the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay from the summit was truly breathtaking. The day trip was indeed a bit rushed, so if possible, I'd recommend staying overnight. However, for a short experience, it offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it! Our guide, Johnny, was enthusiastic, thoughtful, and meticulous in his service – highly commendable.

Our guide LƯƠNG THỊ THUY HÔNG was awesome. She was very professionally, the crew tried their best to have to good time on the boat. The guide had great English skills and explained everything well enough. The food was also fresh and tasty. The boat itself was clean and in a good shape, definitely way better compared to other boats who were out there offering tours. The only negative part in my opinion was that the so called UNESCO world heritage loses its charm because of way too many tourist boats, the government should regulate this, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the boat nor the crew on the boat. Definitely worth checking out and would do it again in the off season when it is not too crowded.
